Originally built for iron miners in the 1930s, the iconic Iron Ranger is distinguished by the signature toe cap. The long-lasting construction is as distinctive as it is durable. The more you wear them, the more they take on a personalized fit thanks to the Texon insoles and cork midsole that form to your feet.

Every pair of Red Wing Heritage footwear is crafted with S.B. Foot Tanning Company leather. Our product team works closely with S.B. Foot employees to create and test different colorways and textures. The natural by-product from the food industry, the leather is crafted with over a century of knowledge to make a premium, longstanding product that ages with grace.

Oil-Tanned Leather Care

01. Clean

Use warm water and a brush to remove dirt from footwear. Dry with a cloth. For heavily soiled areas, apply Foam Leather Cleaner with a cloth or brush. Wipe cleaner away with a damp cloth and allow leather to dry.

02. Condition

Apply a light, even coat of All Natural Boot Oil, Mink Oil, or All Natural Leather Conditioner to leather with fingers, cloth, or sponge. Proper conditioning keeps leather healthy and extends the life of footwear.

03. Protect

Lightly mist footwear with Leather Protector six to eight inches away from the leather in a sweeping motion. Leather Protector provides a shield against dirt and moisture. It will not darken footwear.
