Rated 5 out of 5 by You Get What You Pay For Which is good because these ain't cheap. During my work boot buying process, I must have tried on 20 different pairs of work boots from different manufacturers and nothing came remotely close to the quality of these Red Wing work boots. The fit and finish is just top notch. The only thing I regret is not buying them sooner. The Red Wing in store customer service is top notch too in my area. Now on on the actual boot review:I immediately wore them to work the same day I purchased them and they did take about a week to begin breaking in. I have had them about 1 month now and they are super comfortable. One thing I that really surprised me was how water proof they seem even though they do not have a waterproof membrane. I have my feet submerged in ankle deep water every week and I haven't felt a drop come through yet which is pretty amazing. Another thing about them that is remarkable is that I work in a warehouse environment in the central valley of California where temperatures stay in the upper 90's and spike into the 100's on a weekly basis in the summer and my feet do not overheat in these boots. I believe this is due to the lack of a "moisture wicking" liner inside the boot, it's just plain and simple leather inside there. Yea, a liner is supposed to wick away moisture but it is also an added layer to trap heat. I had some mesh/leather work shoes and my feet stay cooler in these boots then in those. So if you are in the market for some fresh work boots, I'd recommend you give these a shot. Give them a few weeks to break in and they will be as comfortable as house slippers. August 31, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by comfortable and durable product. I have been wearing Red Wing Boots/shoes for over 20 years and they last long and are comfortable. I wore the model 207 for years then it was discontinued. Bring it back, they were the most comfortable and durable. July 4, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Red Wing 606 boot Very good boot. Needs a week or so to break-in. Leather rubs/squeaks. Should go away after oiling some. Looking to wear these a long time. June 24, 2015

Rated 3 out of 5 by Uncomfortable I was recommended this shoe at one of the stores and I was told they replaces the 1421 which has been discontinued.I've owned numereous pairs of 1421s and I wish they bring them back.I'm a true Red Wing fan and that was the only shoe that fit me perfectly. These 606s are just uncomfortable even after wearing them for months to break them inI think they are a quality shoe but nothing like they 1421Blisters on the heal and small toe, even tried many different types of inserts without any luck and even tried a slightly different size as expensive of a experiment that was.Plan on trying the 415 next. Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome garbage hauler boot I've worn various Red Wing boots for over 20 years hauling garbage. I put these boots through a lot stomping through muddy landfills, walking on oil soaked surfaces, and drenching them in the rain. I take good care of them by cleaning the mud off as soon as I can with a wet brush. I also oil them about once a month. It took me about a month to break them. Once they were broke in, the were deliciously comfortable. A pair of these boots last me anywhere from three to five years. I would almost rather wear my boots than gym shoes. I'm a Red Wing boot wearer for life!! June 20, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by the boot is of good quality I have had pretty good service out of these, will need new foot beds before long and laces. They are holding up very well, I would recommend to anyone that needs a good all around work boot. June 18, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great boots but I love the boots. They fit great and comfortable. But....I wish they had some padding around the ankles and on up . Also, the toe sure wears out fast. I had to put "Tough Toe" coating on just a couple of weeks after I bought the boots.I have owned an other brand made in China...the toes are still good after over a year of wear every day.Why not just apply the coating on the boots right in the factory?I feel I paid way plenty for the boots that the additional $20.00 for the "Tough Toe" with a couple of weeks could have been free or discounted fairly.
