Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Work Boot Got tired of spending $200 dollars every year on boots that I wear 6 to 7 days a week. thought I would Try these and glad I did. i got about 2 year out of them. i would get more but i can't keep the sole glued to the boot and tired of going to red wing every week to get glued back on. i am going to get a boot with a sole that it is switched on and hope that is better. I do Maintenance in a water plant and walk though water daily that is the only reason i think i can't keep the sole stuck to the boot. October 23, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Very comfortable boot but lacks durability These boots are very comfortable right out of the box. I love the way these boots Feel. I have bought two pairs. The second pair was bought at half price under Redwing warranty. Out of both pair of boots. Neither pair lasted me one year. I work around the swimming pools so these boots are constantly getting wet but that's why bought waterproof boots. After about eight months the liner started to tear inside and water was starting to intrude. Also the soul started to separate in several different places. I cleaned them about once a month with Saddlesoap and then followed up with mink oil. Again very comfortable boot but lacks durability. These boots are extremely expensive and for that reason I will not buy another pair of these boots. After the first pair I thought it was just due to some kind of a defect but apparently these boots just lack durability that I have come to expect from Redwing. $280 a year for boots is not my idea of a good deal. Rated 5 out of 5 by great for work. very comfortable and reliable boot Great boot. Wore them for more than 2 yrs working in refineries and construction. After two yrs the inside started to tear, and water started to go in them. I had trouble taking them off do to the tear inside, so I decided to buy another red wing boot style. For a boot to last two yrs in harsh work environment its worth it. July 26, 2014
