Rated 3 out of 5 by Comfortable but made poorly I'm a indoor finish carpenter and am on my feet 8-10 hours a day.. I move around the job sites a lot and am up and down and crawling around all the time.. The toes wear out quick, the stitching gives quick and the shoes sleek... I am a bigger guy but not huge and the boots last up to 9 months, 6 months and now 4 months. I've bought 3 pairs now. I have a hard time finding boots that fit good and these fit great. I've tried other boots but end up returning them after wearing a round the house a t couple days of wearing them around house and going back the these red wings.. August 18, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by great work boots but can still wear as a casual shoe I bought my Chukka's 2 years ago - I wear them 3 days a week to work -i work in a WH - alot of walking - other then a little bit on dirty these shoes look new - no wear on the sole - think I'll buy my son a pair of his own - maybe he'll stop wearing mine June 26, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great boots! These were bought for out son when he was 17. He turned 19 in April, and they lasted that long. He is extremely hard on shoes, and to last 2 years was well worth the money. They also look nice and fit well. We bought him another pair. May 9, 2015

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great shoe! Keeps my feet cool in the sun and dry during our wet season. After 2 years it finally fell apart. I'm surprise how long the heels lasted on these boots. Normally after a year my heels would wear out walking on asphalt runways and graveled roads but these Boots did a great job! I would buy another pair. March 18, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by I’m little disappointed I purchase these boots, at the beginning of this year(2014) at a Red Wing store. I work offshore as a Safety Advisor, 14 days working and 14 days off, my day consist of walking on hard decking and grating talking to individuals and making sure all are working safe. So after wearing this boots for 5 months I notice that they are making noise around the heal area, I’m little disappointed that they are doing this. I purchase a $50.00 pair of boots at Academy and they lasted 3 yrs., so i though i would purchase a Name brand boot and now I’m experiencing this problem. Not happy, will have to go back to Academy and get a cheaper pair of boots that will last 3 times longer. November 1, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very Comfortable Work Boots I spent a great deal of time trying on practically every model of work boot in the store before finally settling on these for their comfort. They have aluminum safety toes that qualify them for industrial work while having the sort of appearance and comfort you can use for many home uses. The only downsides I can think of is that 1) they are "not waterproof", but this is only in the strictest sense; meaning that the tongue at the very top is connected with elastic material and not waterproof seal. These are pefectly waterproof unless you step in a puddle that goes up to your ankle. I applied bee wax sealant to mine and they work great. 2) I don't like that they're made in China. and 3) They have an adequate heel for climbing ladders, but not as defined as some as the more traditional heavier boots. Those things aside, these are very comfortable and get me through long shifts where I'm on my feet for long periods of time in wet and slippery conditions. October 20, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Only good for less than 8 months I purchased two pair of these boots since they were comfortable and easy to break in. I wear them 8 to 12 hours a day 6 days a week and both pairs failed in the same amount of time. The laces don't last more than 5 months and just as the others mentioned the lacing in the heals tear out leaving your heels exposed. If they could get better lacing in the heels I would be willing to purchase another pair. At this point I'm going to have to give up on red wing shoes. I'm sure if they were made in America the quality would be better. Avoid these boots.... September 29, 2014
