Rated 4 out of 5 by 2 years in -- update Full disclosure - I got these boots in the US while on a job site but moved back to Canada so don't wear them everyday due to their lack of CSA/puncture rating.I do wear them in the winter and for around the house for work so my mileage is way under what would normally be experience on a daily job-site boot. I would normally wear out a pair of boots in about a year.Fortunately, I haven't experience the liner separation issue others have and have had these boots since July 2013.I find that the arch isn't quick high enough (for my foot size) for me so if I wear socks of any thickness, the top of my foot in one boot suffers from circulation issues. The boot is comfortable but ankle roll-over protection is very limited (not a lace up boot). In cold weather, the rubber in the sole becomes stiff and extremely slippery on most surfaces - concrete, steel, snowThe leather quality is fantastic - probably what i like most about the boots.Would I buy them again? No - the cost is quite high and they no longer meet the safety standards required on my jobs. February 4, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by This was a good boot, until I had to cut it off... I was told as well as another customer reviewing boots on here that these boots had a lifetime warranty... Thought it was a selling point to justify the $225 price tag. Come to find out they only have a 1 year warranty... I work shift work, and only work 6 months out of the year so I felt like these boots should have lasted at least 2 years. The insoles wore out in 4 months, had to replace them, other than that these were great boots until the inner waterproof liner came completely unglued and I had to cut my foot out with a pocket knife at 12 months. Do not buy these boots, not worth the price. I cut the liner out of both boots and pulled everything out including the aluminum toes and I am still wearing the boots because the leather and the vibram soles are still in great shape.... Rated 5 out of 5 by best boots I've ever worn I'm 6'4" & 300 lbs. my feet are big and wide. The 15d fit me nicely and with very little break in period. Get the red wing insole, very comfortable... The water proofing is sufficient for a few strolls through the muck but your feet will eventually start to get wet if you wade too long. I've gotten a good 3 years out of my pair so far. I will buy another pair here soon. They are a bit pricey but in my case worth every penny. September 20, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not good for the oilfield Blew through two pairs of these inside four months. The linings in the boots would detach from the inside of the boot making it nearly impossible to pull my feet out. The toes leaked water. Very comfortable, but would not recommend for working on a drilling rig. July 8, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Water proof and rugged Ordered boots and waited 8 working days. Picked them up and tried them on and as usual with Redwing the fit is perfect and as usual I'm sure there will be little to no break-in period. the last pair I ordered were a 6" lace up boot abd they lasted about 5 years, I expect this pair will last as long if not longer! Rated 5 out of 5 by well worth the price just bought the 4448 boots and right out of the box I had a great fit. no break in time needed. by far the best boot I have ever owned. February 2, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great boots These are great boots. Bought a pair last year and looking at getting another this year. Lasted one year but that is along time for me. All others last bought 2-3 months. I'm always in oil base mud, water, or just plain sloppy mud. Have oil, diesel, gas, blood and everything else on them. He'll pawed thinner wouldn't hurt them. Great boots not a problem with them. In them up to 17 hours a day. December 7, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by very comfortable boot Got this pair 2 years ago and getting ready for another pair. When I first tried them on, I knew they were made for me. Now 2 years later they are wearing out and I will be getting me another pair. November 19, 2014
