Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent everyday boot The 4417 are simply the best boot I have ever owned. I used to buy whatever was on sale somewhere, never again. I do rigging for work. I get into everything from construction sites to clean rooms. Corrosive chemicals, welding, grease, oil, dirt, rain, mud, snow, you name it I've been in it with these. Other boots would last 6 months to a year. I'm getting a solid 3 years out of a pair of these. I'm wearing pair number 2 at work right now, and breaking in pair number 3 while not working. Pair number one is still in my locker, just in case. My feet don't get cold or wet in these. They provide great support and I don't get fatigued from being on my feet all day. I've recommended these to my coworkers, and wouldn't buy anything else ever again....Except maybe the 4416, I'm partial to blackNow in the interest of full disclosure, I DID have a couple of problems with my second pair. The third time I laced them up, the upper lace rivets popped out. I took them back to the store and they were fixed. They did need to be sent out, but I had them back in a matter of a few days. The second issue was the stitching on the left boot at the inside of the ball of the foot area came apart. Again, they needed to be sent out. Both boots were completely resoled and I had them back within a week. Wasn't thrilled with the issues I had, but was very happy with a company that stood behind their products and fixed them for no charge and no questions asked. February 6, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by GREAT BOOTS I HAVE BEEN BUYING LACE UP BOOTS FOR RIDING MOTORCYCLES AND THESE ARE THE BEST EVER. I HAVE DONE SEVERAL LONG DAYS IN THE RAIN ON ROAD TRIPS AND ALWAYS HAVE DRY SOCKS AT THE END OF THE DAY. RIGHT AFTER I BOUGHT THIS PAIR I HIT A DEER ON MY MOTORCYCLE AT ABOUT 70 MPH. IF IT WERENT FOR MY RED WING LACE UPS I WOULD HAVE INJURED MY LEFT FOOT SEVERELY ( JUDGING BY THE TOE AREA OF THE BOOT!) I HAVE RIDDEN THESE BOOTS FOR GOING ON FIVE YEARS( AND OVER 80,000 MILES AND I AM PREPARING TO BUY ANOTHER PAIR, THIS TIME IN BLACK. I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING BUT RED WING WATERPROOF INSULATED LINEMAN BOOTS FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE February 3, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Built to last Bought my first pair back in 2013 and have worn them almost every single day up to the present. Looking back I am thoroughly impressed at what they have been able to withstand. In addition to daily use, I used them as my hiking, hunting, four wheeling, motorcycle riding, and work boots due to their extreme versatility. The leather is cracked, the toes are worn to bare metal, and the tread has worn flat (which says something due to having such a large heel) and I still think they are more comfortable than other boots I have had before. If you are someone who is willing to take care of these boots they will last you a long time and you will justify the initial investment. December 1, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great boot, costly but get what you pay for Bought the boots for working facilities/grounds maintenance where I'm in all sorts of weather. First logger style boot, but tried them on and I loved them. Comfortable, not too heavy considering they are steel toe, and insulated. I like the fact that you can bring them back to get re-soled, oiled and taken care of. They felt like they broke in fairly quick but they are very solid. I was so surprised that they did not make my feet super sweaty in warmer weather despite being insulated. Good traction, the Vibram sole is quite great. Solid choice for a long lasting boot, would recommend and buy again! November 26, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing Best quality, most durable, most comfortable work boot I ever put on my feet. September 18, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by From skeptical to believer Was skeptical walking into the store but after trying them on I realized just how beat down my old boots were (about 10 years old). These are incredibly comfortable and the quality is exceptional. I expect to have them for at least 10 years! Whether on the job site, working around the property or riding my Harley, these are great boots to do it in. September 11, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by the boot is awesome it takes about 3 to 4 days to break them in but after you do that they are totally awesome! June 18, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Heavy duty boot This boot saved my ankle from breaking when I rolled them in a NYC pothole. This boot last 3 times longer then my old brand. June 18, 2015
