Rated 3 out of 5 by Great quality boots, but they don't stay tied! Can the ladies get a 6-inch boot? I have had these boots for over a year for work use and have worn them outside in all sorts of weather conditions. The boots have proved to be both waterproof and excellent in cold temperatures; the composite toe is infinitely preferable to a steel toe in freezing temperatures. That said, I have some major complaints. There are no lace hooks to securely fasten laces all the way up the ankle, so ankle support is almost nonexistent. As I frequently work on uneven terrain, ankle support is a must. I also agree with previous reviews, the laces do not stay tied very well - even when I triple tie them! Untied boots in the workplace are not safe!My employer just instituted a new safety boot policy that requires boots to have 6-inch lace ups, a safety toe, and be puncture and electrical resistant. As I wear a women's size 6.5, it is EXTREMELY difficult to find boots that meet these specifications in my size. I have been a Red Wing customer for years, but I may have to take my business elsewhere since there are no Red Wing boots that meet these specifications in my size. I hope Red Wing and other manufacturers can acknowledge the growing women's market for quality safety boots! January 14, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Shy on the extras -Fit too wide for my feet-The laces don't stay done up because of the round cord-like shape-No hooks to lace up at the top, just a regular hole that makes it hard to cinch up-Missing a lace loop near the top, it's bizarre that there isn't one there to aid ankle support-Bulky tongue that digs into the top of my feet / ankles June 24, 2014
