Rated 5 out of 5 by Stands up to the tough stuff... I have had these boots for about 8 months now and they are living up to the Red Wing reputation. I work in diesel/heavy vehicle road service, inspection and roadside recovery, and am on my feet off and on for the better part of 12 hours a day. These boots have seen diesel fuel, motor oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid you name it; if it comes out of a car or truck, I'm stepping in it. That and a little situation with a pallet jack which reminded me that getting steel toed boots was a necessity. It didn't take long before these boots were viewed not as a article of clothing, but as a tool needed to successfully and safely do my job. Needless to say I am pleased, not only with the service my boots have given me, but also with the services my local red wing store has given me (Cherry Hill NJ store). Three complimentary sets of laces and a few leather conditionings later and I'm looking at the 2416 model to share the work load for the up coming winter (they are insulated, water proof, and 8" tall). Rated 5 out of 5 by Best work boot I've ever worn. I've had them for 2.5 years and they are still in great shape. I'm standing on concrete for 90% of my day. If you don't think the quality of your boot matters, then you need to go back and finish your Computer Science degree. I've tried just about every brand and style of boot on the market. There are many good ones, but these are the best.Travis PendergrassMinneapolis, MN April 22, 2014
