Rated 5 out of 5 by Work Worthy I have worn these boots, 40-60 hours a week, 5-6 days a week. for literally 3 years. They now need a new insole, but other than that, best boots i have ever owned. Still look good too. My favorite feature is probably the way you stick to any surface, wet or not. i have never "slipped" in these boots, ever.Awesome boots March 9, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Knew right from the get-go These boots were fitting perfectly and truly comfortable from day one. I originally purchased these boots for barn chores but like them so much I am going to get a second pair for wearing off the farm. Can't say enough about the fit and comfort of these high quality boots. February 24, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Every day is a new challenge I am a college student that have taken classes in a wide variety of subjects from business to collision repair. I also work part time at at parts store and when I am free I like to do stuff on a farm and around machinery. I have done things from dig trenches for tiling to put on a new roof on my house and these boots have stood the test of time. I bought a pair back in the fall of 2010 and am still wearing them today (Feb. 2015). I have only applied boot oil to them one time in the fall of 2010 and they only have holes on the toes. The soles are worn down but it is understandable. You can still make out the tread patterns in some areas. The only reason I said they fit tight is because I have very wide feet. People call my feet paddles because they are so wide. I normally only wear shoes/boots that are 4e on width. I have shown these boots to some friends at school and they went out and bought the same pair quickly. I love these boots and actually got a second pair for Christmas. I'm ready for another great 5+ years out of my new pair. February 19, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Poor choice of soles I have worn Red Wing boots for many years. The last two pair have had poor soles. The first wor just fine but separated on the right foot. The second had a chunk come out in the instep while it was stepping onto my tractor and went all the way to leather. They changed soles between the last two pair and have gone to a kind of crepe which is not good quality. I'll buy another brand next time. February 12, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great boot but.... I have worn the 2270 for the last year and overall it has been great. They took about 2 weeks to get broken in, but fit great after that. I walk a lot and the soles are barely worn. Now for my only gripe. The forward slope of these boots feel like you are walking downhill and puts undo stress on the front of my feet. If they were just 1/4 inch higher in the front they would be unbeatable. Don't get me wrong....they are great for average walking and standing, but I walk a ton on my job. When my feet start hurting I switch to my Red Wing 2280 tie ups. They are much better for days when I have to walk all over the plant where I work. Would I recommend them? Absolutely! I am going to take them home and wear them when I ride my motorcycle and do work around the house. They will probably last for a long time. I just ordered my 4th pair of Red Wings and have never had any of them leak even beyond the warranty. That's impressive for the stuff I put my boots through! September 18, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by great work boot This is the only boot my husband will wear. We only have to buy 1 pair per year and he is very very hard on boots. This is a man who wears them all day everyday. April 4, 2014
