Rated 5 out of 5 by Good in the woods I am a forester and have been using this boot style since the early 1990's. I have both steel toe and non-steel toe for work in the 8" height, and 6" high for home. Once broken in they are comfortable and stand up to the abuse. Woods work, fire suppression or in the office they are great. All of my pairs have had enough life left in them that I have re-soled them after a couple years (something that I never did before). A wash and re-oiling and they look good enough for everything but the most formal situations I have to deal with. July 20, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best boots ever made I've been wearing this particular boot for 20+ years, and I'd probably quit working before I'd change boots.I can't say enough good things about them. April 25, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Most comfortable boot I've every found. I work in a plant, walking on concrete. I have worn some boots that leave my feet throbbing at the end of the day. but these Red Wings never do. They are a little expensive, but I get 2 good years out of a pair, and I am working on my 4th pair.I also do a good deal of work outdoors, year around. These boots have served me well in all environments. They do take a little breaking in. They always rub me a little for the first 2 weeks, but after that they are perfect. April 24, 2014
