Rated 5 out of 5 by Only boots I'll wear I've tried many different types of boots from cheap to expensive. All brands. I got my first pair of these four years ago. I have to admit I was very Leary of spending the money on them after all the failure I've seen in boots. I am happy to say that I am on my third pair of this model. First pair lasted two years and now my brother in law is still using them. My second pair are still my daily work boots and usual wear throughout the day. The third pair are new in box due to the fact that my new employer gives a boot allowance annually. I have worn these boots on concrete working on truck dock in all climates, while felling trees through all terrains and climates, and now I'm a starch manufacturing plant. Not one time have I been disappointed with these boots. I keep up with regular oiling and these boots have not failed me yet. The only part I've had to replace are the insoles due to normal wear. Rated 5 out of 5 by well worth the money I've had these boots for just shy of 2 years.I work at a big box home goods retailer so I spend alot of time walking around on concrete. These boots required no break in period at all,in fact their still as comfortable as day one.The water proofing finally gave out and the side dried out and cracked. These are my work shoes as well as my primary daily foot wear.I just picked up a pair of 411s as a replacement for these hopefully they will take the beating and last as long as these did. Rated 5 out of 5 by Toughest boot I work in the oil and gas industry I have had the same pair for a year now and they have held up to all kinds of abuse and terrain February 20, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by They take a beating Best boots I've ever owned! First Red Wings I've owned and I won't own another brand. I do a lot of construction on uneven train and jagged rocks. These boots are put up with everything I put them through. February 18, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by I love this boot. It is very comfortable and reliable and sturdy. By far the best work boot that I ever owned. I had a pair of the Irish Settler logger boots and they were nowhere better than these boots. The proof is in the pudding. February 9, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for landscape, and the every day outdoors man I purchased these boots about 2 and half years ago and only had one problem and that was the waterproof. It ended up leaking but it was about a year old and red wings made it right. they got me a brand new boot at no charge. Ever since then i have had no problems. I do get trench foot with these when its about ten degrees outside and snowing but i wear these suckers for about 24 hours straight some times when i plow snow so i could expect that. these things have been all over America while hiking, camping, and even waking through small rivers and these have had very lil wear a tear. I have literary taken a chainsaw to these accidentally when i was cutting down a tree, but the steel toe stopped it dead in place and just a lil cut on the boot which did not effect anything about it surprisingly. But with these have seen it all and are still very good boots. January 31, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Finally, work boots that fit Finally found a pair of boots that fit. I have odd feet and have a really tough time finding shoes, and usually deal with the pain of ill fitting boots while working. I do a lot of trail work in the woods with a volunteer group(chainsawing, moving rocks, machine operation, etc.) so steel toes are necessary. These were the first non-metallic toe shoes I have owned and I am really pleased. Thank you to the salesman who suggested that I try on a size that was far of from what I usually wear. I can work on the trails for 10 -12 hours straight and my feet feel great. Additionally, all my friends with steel toes are complaining of cold toes an hour or two into the day during the winter, but mine are toasty. I have been using these for 5 years now and they are holding up superbly well. I do wish that the tread was more aggressive though. I find myself paying close attention to footing more often than I would like. Will probably go with the 4415 when these give up the ghost as they have a more aggressive sole. Although that may not be for quite a while..... January 3, 2015
