Rated 5 out of 5 by Get your boots on! The best boots I ever bought and/or wear. Short and sweat, the red wing dealer told me I can't wear out a pair of boots within a year or their store will buy them back... It has been longer than two years, I lost track. Therefore I purchased a second pair, different style. They're still kickin'. In any case the first pair can't be beat. The second pair have been redone by Red Wing but I have bought one pair of Red Wings to four pairs of other boots and still counting. I wore out, on the average, two pairs of boots per year of the other brands. Red Wing's are at two pair total in my life and I wear both pair daily. Red Wing shoe sales people are like the Maytag repair person! June 8, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Last Boots I'll Ever Own Bought my first pair of 815''s maybe 15 years ago. Best boots I've ever worked in (and I work boots hard). When the soles finally wore out I bought a second pair to wear while my first pair round-tripped back to the factory for resoling. Pair #2 is coming up for resoling now, I'm guessing with resoling and tag-teaming these boots will outlive me. Dang it if even the laces are still in great shape.I buy an oversized pair of old-fashioned "Totes" rubbers and stretch them over my Red Wings in winter, mostly for the traction on ice and snow. Warm and dry and toasty, but they still manage to wick away enough moisture to keep my feet from drowning.Just an outstanding product. Expensive, but when you consider the miles-per-dollar an excellent value. May 7, 2014
