Rated 5 out of 5 by EH 676 boot Hi, I'm Joe and I'm retired. I'm an old guy with sore feet. Now I know where grumpy old men come from, their feet. I've been wearing these boots for the past 5 years while I built our house. These boots have helped keep me going and at 70 that's a plus. Ordering a new pair today. Best boots for my purpose and they don't have a heavy lug sole to carry dirt into the house, also a plus for my wife. Couldn't be happier with boots. March 21, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Junk Had two pair in two years. I was told they were made for high heat environment. I use them for asphalt and melted the soles both. I do not recommend these boots for construction! February 16, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by comfortable and well made I bought this boot about a month ago, very comfortable and easy on my back. I wear it for just kicking around and going out on the town. I also have the 8" style which I use for working in the yard. Red Wing boots are the best made boot out there. Take care of them and they will take care of you! November 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by This is without a doubt the best boot available anywhere. 33 years in the IBEW (construction electrician) you cannot beat this boot and I have tried all of the brands. I will not use any other boot, even from Red Wing. This boot is perfect from day one. No such thing as a break in period, they are good to go on day one. I hope this boot is never discontinued, or I might have to buy extra to tide me over to retirement day.I wear a 10 x D in this boot, but I noticed when I tried other brands I needed a 2E(EE). So yes maybe this boot runs a very small amount wider than others.Yes I like it that much. September 16, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Worth every penny spent I had to purchase a 'new' type of work boot after ankle surgery. My Podiatrist told me I had to have additional ankle and foot support.I have owned and worn Redwing's, the 'Chukka', since the late 70's, so I know the quality of RW's and was going to stick with the same brand. (I changed shoe brands one time in the last 30+ years, to 'save' a few bucks....what a mistake that was! I was back in RW's within one-week, and the cheap brand was in the trash can.)I brought this pair, the first pair of RW's I have owned outside of my old Chukka's, in 2012. I wear every day - Monday through Friday, and numerous Saturday's, for work. ALL DAY 14 hours, on my feet.Let's put it this way. With the extensive foot and ankle damage, reconstructive surgery and recovery from the surgery. This work boot is the best investment I have made. I would not change or consider another Brand and style for my work boot.No break-in, just like my old Chukka's and durability that is exceptional! I have not even begun to wear the soul the out, and I have worn these boots for nearly two-years straight! September 7, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Been wearing them for years! Love these boots. They last for years. The laces or eyelets will wear out before the shoe does. The stitching is solid and I need the semi slick soles to keep debris out. The height of the boot is good for me too. I will continue to buy Redwing boots. September 5, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Style and quility I have had this style for about 15 or 16 years and on my 5th pair. August 13, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great boot for the working man I am on my feet all day every day. I weld, so my boots have it pretty rough getting doused with sparks and molten metal a lot. These boots have been very comfortable. I have owned these boots for around a month and have liked them since day 1. The quality is excellent, which is why redwing has been the brand I've worn for a long time. These boots have been comfortable and didn't require much of a break in period. I will defiantly buy a pair when these wear out but that seems to be a good ways away. And they are made in the USA. March 16, 2014
