Rated 5 out of 5 by Met Expectations I used the boots in the rough oil fields of North Dakota, and they keep me warm and dry the whole time. November 28, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great winter boots I have many pairs of RW boots, but these are my first non-steel toes. I bought these for long walks with the dog and snow shoeing. These are by far the warmest boot I have ever owned. Living here in Western New York can prove very tough during the long cold and snowy winters. These boots have made my time outdoors so much more enjoyable. As all my RW boots, there was a "break in" period, but I look at this as a rite of passage. Traction is good but ice is ice, there is only so much one can do, I often wear shoe chains when the sidewalks are nothing but sheets of ice. This is not a poor reflection of RW boots, I would attach the chains no matter what brand I was wearing. These boots fit and work so well with my snow shoes, it's as if they were made for them. The broad platform of the outer sole, most certainly compliments the suspension of the snow shoes, allowing me to traverse deep powder snow with less energy. The 400 grams of insulation is just perfect for keeping my feet warm without getting too hot and sweating my feet cold. The 8" height is just enough support without hindering quick paced travel. I do wear gaiters to keep snow and ice from getting in the boots and pant legs. I have the luxury of a great RW dealer in town to service my boots when needed, these guys are "off the charts" good. I am looking forward to many years of long winters, and warm dry feet. February 15, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best boots I have worn Tons of people recommended a pair of Red Wings as the best working boots. They are. At first I thought they were a little overpriced but after using them for 6 months as an electrician in wet below 10 degree weather, mud all types of objects around... I say they are the best. Worth the $230 I paid. February 11, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by worth every penny I bought them in 2013 and they still feel very comfortable, the stitching still very strong the outsole last a fair amount of time. I work on cement all day and on my feet. I don't get fatigued and the ankle support is very good. December 31, 2014
