Rated 5 out of 5 by another excellent boot by Red Wing These are my replacement boots after turning in the 2280's I had. I can say with confidence that these boots are the best pair I've worn in a long time. The width is on the mark. They may not have protected toes, but my problems with the heals are elevated. I tell everyone at work about these boots and 405 insoles, and how they have relieved the pain in my left hip. I also tell of the great 30 day try them or bring them back warranty. I also recommend to everyone to get a Peet Dryer too. My hats off to Red Wing. March 18, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Reliable Boots I'm not climbing telephone poles or logging all day but boots are essential footwear for me to have. I work a lot in the shop, do a lot of hunting/exploring out in the woods, lots of landscaping in the summer, etc. These boots have stood up extremely well to anything I've put them through. I've been in streams up to my ankles submerging the uppers, feet never got wet. They age very nicely too, the leather definitely becomes smoother and darker after lots of use and conditioning with naturseal or mink oil every couple month. Overall I couldn't be happier or ask anything more out of this boot. love them and i recommend them to everybody. Yeah they're pricy but you'll also have them for much much longer than a cheaper pair, anyways its just nice to know that you have footwear that'll take anything you could throw at it. Rated 5 out of 5 by These Boots are Great! I bought this boot more than eight years ago, and am glad to say they are still holding up fine, and have molded to me feet. They are really comfortable, and offer the the kind of ankle support that is required for heavy work. I use them for work around my property. I will buy another pair, once these finally wear out, and hope Red Wing continues to make them in the USA. I will pay more to support this product made domestically. December 26, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great product I've had thease boots for sbout 6 months now snd love them. At first they were alittle bit uncomfortable but once i broke them in they were great. I am on my feet all day and with the custom inserts my feet feel great at the end of the day. September 16, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great boots I've had these boots for four years. Sent them to the factory to be resoled at three years. They are still in great shape and very comfortable. I'm on my feet 10 hours a day as a mowing contractor and they feel good all day long. I will always buy Red Wings in the future. September 9, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by great durability Had these boots for 2 years, working in the environmental construction industry they took a beating. From cleaning oil tanks to shoveling caustic sludge and jack hammering they can't be beat. August 23, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Boots! I use these boots for in the office for 8 hours a day to working on construction sites for 12-16 hours a day in hot, cold, smooth, rough, hard and soft surfaces. Would not trade them for anything else. Very comfortable, keeps all water out and overall have held up extremely well. I want to get some like this without steel toes (I dont know if thats possible) to just wear for casual as they look like a nice clean boot. Probably going to get another pair soon to just have as a back up pair so I have them for a while. My last pair lasted almost 3 years.I just hope RedWing realizes the fan base they have and I hope they try to keep making their boots as much as possible in the USA! I will pay the price to support that! Thanks,Corporal FehrmanVeteran USMC August 22, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by comfortable but, not very durable Bought a pair of these from the Red Wing store in Pelham, Al. on July 1, 2014 and am writing this review on August 20, 2014. Paid right at $300 after taxes and the insert that was recommended. The material is already tearing off of the toes and the insert is already ripped to shreds. I find most other brands wear out at about the same rate, but do so at a fraction of the cost. This is the first pair of Red Wing Boots I've owned and I can't say I will be a repeat customer. All of that said, they are the most comfortable pair of work boots I have ever worn. August 20, 2014
