10877 Men's 8-inch Boot

The 877 is the iconic Red Wing work boot. First introduced in 1953 as a sport boot, this classic has been worn by millions of America’s workers on construction sites or in the farm fields. This 8” style is purpose-built with premium Red Wing Oro-iginal leather, Goodyear welt construction, a white Traction Tred sole and triple stitched quality. In early 2013 the style number was updated to include a “10” in front of “877” in order to identify the style as wholly a part of the Red Wing work line. This style is also available in a custom fit. Years of fitting stool experience have taught us that some customers' feet are not a perfect match. All too often a customer has to settle for less than a perfect fit. Red Wing's Custom Fit program offers a unique solution that allows you to order a pair of boots in two different sizes. Visit the nearest Red Wing Store to get your customized fit. Please allow 3 weeks for a custom fit order.

Rated 1 out of 5 by $300 boot/ $5 sole after being assured soles would last for daily (concrete work) bought boots with low tread soles. Haven't lasted 5 months. They need re-soling and not mention stink. Hoped for a great boot after finally taking big money plunge. Disappointed June 22, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good... Sadly, not great. I must admit I'm a little disappointed in the durability.. After six months of use some of the stiching has broken and opened up and the soles are completely worn down in some places.. Not something I'd expected after such a short amount of time. For the price I was under the impression I could get at least a year before they would need repair.. June 18, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great all around boot This boot is great for work, play and going out. They are very well made and the leather quality is phenomenal. After a year of tough wear, these boots are holding up better than any I have ever purchased. June 18, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love these boots! Really love these boots. They are exceptionally well-made of quality materials -- in the United States! By Americans! How much better can something get? I have a feeling they will last for a long, long time, and I will get lots of good use out of them. I am retired but ride motorcycles & these are just great for that. And they look really stylish, too. June 18, 2015

Rated 5 out of 5 by Finally a boot that I can lace up normally... I should start out by saying that the reason I said these shoes run small in length and width is because everyone else says that they do. And I would agree because the standard shoe is typically wider and longer. BUT, for my (not abnormally) narrow feet, they are perfect and I was able to finally find and wear a boot that is snug around the width of my foot WITHOUT HAVING TO CINCH DOWN THE LACES TO WHERE THE TWO EDGES ARE MEETING!!! You may wonder, "well who cares if the two lateral pieces meet? The boot's right now..." Which is true, but if you care about what's on your feet for more than just performance (especially at $250+) than it's nice to have a "the perfect fit." Which I do now. I typically wear 9.5 to 10.5 depending on the company and have never had a choice in width in my boots. I like a "C" one width down from the standard "D." You can pretty much only get "D's" online through other retailers so if you want anything else you need to go through a Red Wing Store or official online Red Wing store (I don't even know if they have that. I'm sure they do, I happened to befriend the folks at my local Red Wing store in Fort Collins. They are all super great people and love to talk boots, which I happen to as well) one more thing, I got my 9C's pretty darn snug knowing the leather will stretch juuuust a smidgeon. This is a dangerous game to play. If you put them on and they are snug and still feel good after AT LEAST AN HOUR (indoors only, of course) you're probably good. What I mean is I had a pair that initially felt nice and snug but after a fairly long while (enough time for my feet to warm up and swell a bit as they do when working/walking) they began to ache. When you lift heavy for example your foot need to be able to absorb they weight a bit and lengthen laterally. I've had mine for a bit over a month now Nd wear them every day and they have a fairly visible protrusion on the outsides where the base of my pinky toe has pushed the leather outwards a hair. Again, I like snug shoes but I know what's appropriate and what's not. At the store they sized me at a 10.5D I saw their process; their numbers are absolutely correct. But somehow for me and this boot, I felt better going down. I wear reasonably thick hiking smart wools and I still have enough toe room and never experience an aching compressed foot. Okay, I put off writing this review for a while because I knew it would take me ten minutes to write :o one last thing: I went through many sizes and had them on long periods of time before I knew I had the right ones. I even had them mailed to the store from another one in Minnesota and despite the fact that I said I'd pay for expedited shipping so I could have them before I left for Alaska, the store owner (one of my friends there now!) covered the costs. These folks believe in customer service and they have absolutely succeeded in building a new happy and loyal customer! It sounds strange, but I'm already excited to get them resoled... June 11, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by "Iron Tough" boot I have been an union Ironworker in NYC for almost 20 years and, have worn a few types of boots in that time. It was about five years ago, I bought my first pair of Redwing 877's and never looked back since then! Lets face it when you are walking on steel beams at times no wider then a few inches wide several hundred feet in the air, you want a dependable and comfortable boot! That is exactly what the 877's gives you, your feet almost married to the steel!Ironworking is physically demanding and punishing work and we need equipment that can with stand the punishment and the 877's are the right boot for the job bar-nun! The break in period is not bad at all if you oil them up well, I recommend wearing them around the house for a few hours before hitting the job site. As a union member we try to buy as much as possible that is union and made in the USA. When you walk into a Redwing store and show them your union card you get a discount and that my friends is very refreshing in todays world! As long as office building are being built and bridges being spanned, the Redwing 877's will be the only boot on my feet! So Redwing as long as you keep making them I will keep wearing them!! April 20, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by I want a 6" tall version of the 877 I wish my favorite boot came with an optional 6" of height and upper lace hooks instead of lace holes. February 22, 2015
