Rated 5 out of 5 by THESE BOOTS ARE HANDS DOWN AMAZING I bought these boots about a month ago and almost all of my aching from my back and leg has all went away. also, my right leg is a inch and a quarter shorter than my left so I looked into building my boot up ( by the way going to a doctor to get a shoe built up is a hundred and fifty dollars). for the quality and price you pay to get your boot custom fit is hands down unbeatable. I very highly recommend this product. thanks red wing January 30, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Boot, made in the USA I have been wearing a pair of these boots for almost two years, and swear by them. I see other guys buying boots every 4-6 months and always complaining about their feet hurting and their boots causing blisters, and not holding up. I work in a plant that roll forms steel building studs for 9-12 hour shifts walking about 16-18 miles. The only minor complaint I have about these boot is the shaft is unlined and irritates my ankles regardless of what kind of sock I wear, so I'll probably buy the 2414's when I replace these.I don't think you will find a bad pair of Redwings, they're a little pricey but worth it.I also recommend the Redwing orthodics insoles. Rated 5 out of 5 by the heck with the rest these are the best I work in the cement industry and I tried all different kinds of boots. These had no break in time and been put through the worst , mud ,sand ,concrete ,and grout . They get wet every day . If you take care of them they will last a long time. Clean and oil them once a week and let them set for a day . Guys ask me how they last me so long . They buy boots every year. Im 2.5 on mine and they still look great and comfortable. Thinks for a great boot at a working mans price December 1, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Short Break in period These boots fit my foot like a glove, I tried about 3 other red wing models before stumbling on these, and returned all the other ones in less than a month due to the bad fitment on my foot. These literally took about a week to break in. November 3, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Darn Boot on Market I work in the cement industry . The cement would dry the leather out on a normal pair of wolverines in about three months.at100.00 a pop so I was spending 3to4 hundred dollars a year in boots my friend told me about redwings I said what the heck il give them a try . Went to the dealer looked at the 2408s tried them on an fell in love 2 years later still wearing the same pair of boots a few scuff marks but still in great shape thankyou redwing for a boot tough enough to walk through he,'ll and back July 16, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best boots I have ever owned I got a pair of 2408 boots 4 years ago now. I don't work full time but I wear these things for everything when I am working. They are durable, comforatable, and reliable. About twice a year I clean them up really nice and mink oil them. Every time I do it they look like new again. I even poured concrete in them last summer and just washed them off when I was done. They are still in great condition. I'm going to have a hard time buying anything but Red Wing from now on. Rated 5 out of 5 by The best fitting boot I've ever worn. My family has been in masonry for the last 32 years and my self the last 16. Coming out of high school I didn't want o spend too much on my boots, because I thought I had so many better things to spend it on. Masonry puts your boots in contact with mortar all the time and you are constantly bumping cement block out side of that you have to deal with mud and dirt. All this takes a toll on your feet and boots. I was buying a pair of $50-$70 boots every 6 months it seemed. So were all the other guys at work though so I thought it was just the norm. Dad / the boss, always wore redwings, and suggested I look into getting them. His advise was "If you don't have a great deal of money to spend on tools you should buy quality. Quality costs lest in the long run." He was right. Every pair of Redwing 2406's and 2408's I had after that lasted me at least 2½ years. Some lasted 4. The biggest reason I had to replace my boots was the sole wore out. With a little Tuff Toe on the outside of the steel toe and these things lasted. Like I said the sole was the first to go if I could have replaced it my boots would have lasted an other year easy. February 28, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Boots Made In USA...PERIOD! I'm wearing my 5 year old Red Wings right now. I wear them everywhere. Work, Hunting, Shopping...it don't matter. These are the most comfortable boots I've ever owned. The sales rep knew his stuff too...fitted me in a size I thought was wrong to begin with but found out it was me who was wrong. He threw in a pair of cushions because I stand all day, 6 days a week-12 hours a day. I used to go through a pair of "cheap" boots in 6-12 months easy. I walk in metal chips and oil all day, I'm a machinist by trade, for 36 years now. I can't remember how many pairs of boots I've been through but I can tell you this, these boots are the best decision I ever made. There's no going back now, I'm a Red Winger for life. Worth every penny and then some. Thanks Red Wing...I'm very satisfied. November 13, 2014
