Rated 5 out of 5 by Outstanding! These are my shop boots that I wear in my lutherie and woodworking shop about 20 hours a week. I have had these boots for over ten years, and they are still in fairly good shape. They may be the most comfortable shoes I own! Certainly far more comfortable than any other work book I have ever tried. Highly recommended, and there is a similar steel-toed boot from Red Wing. December 26, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Casual I bought these as casual dress shoes. I don't wear them a lot, 2-3 times a month. When I do wear them the are comfortable and always look great. I have a few red wing shoes/boots. They always perform great last forever and are of great value. December 2, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by How can I get this excited about a shoe? I have this pair in brown and a pair in black. Non-steel toe style. I am in food service and these work great in kitchens.Never in my wildest dreams I would pay this much for shoes. But I had some Christmas money and got two pair. This is the only shoe I have found that you are NOT ready to kick off at the end of the day.I knew going in they would be expensive. I love the shoes. It's like anything, you get what you pay for.I have had these for a while now, so this is not a giddy review. Great work shoe. Look no further. February 19, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Lasts forever I wore this style almost daily at a sawmill at work for 5 years. When I retired I continued to wear it and it has finally began to separate. That's nearly 11 years worth of service. December 27, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Traction on commerial kitchen floors Our safety department encouraged us to try these red wing shoes. I have never owned a pair, felt they were very expensive. But, after wearing my first pair. I was very impressed. They did what they said they would do. I get traction in slippery restaurant kitchen floors usually quarry tile floors that are not mopped regularly or properly.Shoes felt heavy at first for an oxford style, but my concern quickly went away after feeling the comfort and support they provided. I am a big man 250lbs. I wear the shoes 5 day a week since February 2014.Happy Camper! Treat yourself the a good pair of shoes, Red wings! Your worth it!! September 9, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by 4 years of daily wear I work in a manufacturing facility and I am frequently in and out of the office. Whether out on the plant floor or sitting at my desk, my feet are always comfortable. I wear these shoes everyday with jeans or khakis. I do require a custom orthotic due to foot problems. This shoe holds my orthotic without issue or squeezing my foot, like other cheaper shoes do. I have worn these shoes every day for the last 4 plus years and I am just now looking to replace them. They are still super comfortable though. The only reason I am looking to replace them is because I have finally worn through the bottom of the shoe and there is a hole in the ball of the outer sole. Other than that the leather looks great and the inner shoe is still intact. I wish I could just resole them. My only issue is that one of the shoe laces separated about a year ago. However, it still works and I keep using it. These are quality shoes. I just wish they were made in the USA, in order to make myself feel better about ordering them again. September 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by MY NEW FAVORITE SHOES! After wearing this pair of Red Wing Oxford 8704 daily for the last month I am ready to write a review. This may be the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever owned. I am about 50 pounds over weight with a wide foot and spend most of the day on concrete or asphalt. I was able to purchase a "D" width in this shoe because it has plenty of toe room. This shoe can be worn all day and into the night with zero fatigue. It has been years since my feet did not hurt at night. I will definately buy another pair of these when they finally wear out. You will not be dissapointed with this shoe. Thank You Red Wing!
