Rated 5 out of 5 by You get what you pay for. I bought these shoes last Christmas and took about a month to brake in, but now when I get home I don't want to take off. I wish the came in brown cause summer is coming and black might look funny with shorts. I like the wedge sole cause I work on asphalt with rocky surfaces. The sole is thick and I can't feel the rocks! I will buy another pair in the future! March 26, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Redwing Oxford shoe #8618 I bought these shoes in 2006 and 9 years later they still look great, however the sole has finally worn down. These shoes have taken a beating over 9 years with all kinds of chemicals spilled on them, all kinds of weather elementsand I just wipe them off and polish occasionally to keep them looking great! Very comfortable and give great support. In my business I am lucky to get 1.5 - 2 years service out of a good quality boot. Redwing exceeded my expectations and I am on my way to buy my second pair of these great shoes today. Made in USA makes me proud to wear them!Thank you Redwing Shoes for an outstanding product/Top Notch! February 23, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by They did not last. I have had these for not even a year this is maybe my third or 4th pair the sides do not hold up they rip. Because it is on the leather uppers they can not be repaired. Last time the sales person talked me into a insert for 50$ they did not make it last any longer 250$ + for a pair of shoes they should last longer than a year.. February 8, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by The best in the kitchen I am a student of Le Cordon Bleu in Pasadena, California. After a year, supporting everything that exists in a kitchen as water, hot oil, accidentally falling knife on him, my 8618 Men's Oxford, looks new. Every day while standing, walking, often in floor escorregdio my 8618 Men's Oxford me of safety and comfort I need. After a full day's work, just a clean cloth and some grease to it to be shining like new. Thank you very much to those who work to make this wonderful product. December 25, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by You get what you pay for I'm a diabetic with neuropathy, and in the last year alone I've gone through six pairs of shoes, all priced at or around 100-125 bucks...none of them were comfortable. But the 8618 oxfords are phenomenal! 200 bucks for a well made shoe is totally doable. The leather of these shoes is top notch and the soles absorb shock like the good sneakers I was once able to wear. I highly recommend these shoes to anybody who walks on cement a lot.
