Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice lightweight boot These are a nice lightweight boot that were very comfortable since day one. The soles are now cracked as well after two years of use. My only complaint is that I wear these boots in a machine shop and I constantly have metal chips and slivers that work there way down the tongue and into the boot, which will drive you crazy! Rated 4 out of 5 by Comfort and quality I was able to ditch all inserts and walk 11 hrs on concrete every day. No issues with the laces and with regular maintenance these still look great. I am by no means easy on my shoes and these have done well. No issues with the laces. March 9, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Where's the Red Wing quality? I have worn steel toed shoes/boots over the past thirty years. I have always avoided Red Wings because of their price, opting instead for Wolverines. Over time, foot comfort became a big issue, and I finally decided to give Red Wing a try. The shoe was by far the most comfortable I have ever worn, but after only 5 months they are literally falling apart at the seams. The vendor said he would repair/replace them, but that is not the issue. If the next pair lasts as long as the first, then they should last just to the end of the 1 yr warranty. Had I known that what I paid would only protect my feet for 1 yr, then I doubt I would have gone with Red Wing. Where is the legendary quality? January 17, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Soles Cracked Across Width At Ball of Foot I purchased these shoes in Feb 2013 and discovered today that they are cracked all the way across the sole at the bottom of the foot. November 17, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by great shoe This is my second pair in 4 years, Still have old pair because they both are the best wearing shoe I have ever had.I work in a variety of places including sandy beaches, rocky mountains, roofs, marine locales, boats, heavy equipment, you name it. Love these non slipping comfortable shoes. About to purchase another pair. November 12, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Sole crack just as other review described Starting out these were the most comfortable shoe I had worn on the job, good fit, sole inserts gave me extra support to feel good throughout the day. But, then my foot is soaked when walked through the rain one day to parking lot, because as I found out the sole crack across the width of the shoe, just as the other review described... there goes any electrical insulative property. Check your PPE, including your shoes.Disappointed to say the least. Lasted 2 years. I will not get another. November 5, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by After two days break in.......comfortable! It took some breaking in. Rubbed my big toes raw for two days, but after the leather softened up and creased..... It lives up to the Red Wing comfort. Quality of the shoe is amazing. The finish will tarnish a bit but you can tell they are the real deal leather. I'm on my feet all day, hard concrete floor.Only complaint is........that they ARE NOT made in the USA!! October 3, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Soles keep cracking across the width I like these shoes because they're comfortable but this is the 2nd pair that I've had fail in this very strange way. For some reason, the sole of the shoes are cracking across the ball of the foot. At first, I thought it was just a fluke so I bought a 2nd pair...NOPE, not a fluke...It happened again.Based on this happening twice, I just cannot recommend this shoe. September 29, 2014
