Rated 5 out of 5 by A) They fit B) Very durable C) Safe, do not slip (on anything) I have been wearing Red Wing for about 40 years, mostly 926 but of late 606. I have a short, very wide foot, but a narrow heel (I'm afraid to walk bare-foot an the beach during duck season). Red Wing can fit me, they are about the only guys who can.The heels on the 926 would wear down quickly, but now with the 606, they wear like iron. I buy a pair a year for my employees as safety shoes, we do commercial refrigeration, and a lot of fast food. You don't want to slip by a deep fryer. We use highly alkaline coil cleaners on the equipment, but wipe the leather down and oil 'em up every now and then, they last long and look good. I might extend the shoe purchase interval for the guys, but great value, great shoe and cheaper than workman's comp claims. August 9, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing in toughest circumstances I wear these daily while walking through concrete and forestry. I kick cement blocks into place multiple times daily and the leather holds up just fine, very pleased with these after 3 years of landscaping and apparently many more to come. July 17, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Most comfortable boot ever made This is the only boot I can spend the day on cement and not have achy feet. If there was only a shoe this comfortable, the world would be a better place! Seriously - RW should put this sole design in an oxford. June 2, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by The Best I have been using Red Wing since 1998. Every 7-10 years I have to buy a new pair, and I wear them every day. I also attend mine like a Military Soldier as well. The comfort, fit, service, and life keep me coming back. Red Wing has a life long friend in me, as long as they keep the 606, and 202 around. Another reason I keep coming back is because they are Made in the U.S. May 25, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by disappointed Soles are coming apart on left and right boot. Right at the toe. Only worn them about 10 times. Has happened one other time with Red Wing boot. Have worn Red Wings all my life and would never buy any another boot. A comfortable fit from day one. No break in period needed with Red Wings! Would normally give a 5 star rating. May 8, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Comfort and durable + American made! I just recently had to replace a pair of these boots that finally gave out on me after 6 years of use. I am sending my old pair out to have new soles put on as the leather on them is still in great shape. I work inside and am in these boots 10-12 hours a day. These boots are somewhat more expensive than most boots but in the long run you will save yourself money. Definitely buy a set of the Moldable insoles in addition for extra comfort and support. March 20, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by The 606, the perfect work boot? When working in the automotive industry, I tried various cheaper work boots, but they never lasted more then a year. I try to buy American made products when I can, and decide to give the Red Wing 606's a try. They are great work boots. The things would last 2-3 years, which is impressive with the abuse they would get working on cars. Oil, gas, antifreeze, trudging through snow behind the shop and standing water at times in the winter from the snow melting off of cars. In the long run, it actually cost less to buy a better work boot. A work boot I could be proud to wear, and one that provided better comfort than when I was spending less. March 12, 2014
