Rated 5 out of 5 by Best boots I have ever owned I bought a pair of 604's three years ago to keep my feet warm and dry at work on cold winter days. I live in Northeast Ohio and spend much of my work day in the snow-belt. The boots never fail to keep my feet warm, dry, and comfortable. I work 8 to 10 hours day and wear my Red Wings every day. I now own a pair of 606's for the summer, it's the same boot without the Goretex lining.I treat both once a month with Red Wing mink oil and have never had a problem with my feet getting wet. With that small amount of care, and an occasional trip back to Red Wing for re-soles I plan on keeping these boots for the next ten years, or longer.I used to have problems with my feet, ankles, and knees from the walking I do at work. Those problems are gone now, it was the work boots I used to wear. I used to go through a pair of work boots every six months, or less. The Red Wings are expensive to purchase, but three years in and I've actually spent less than I would have wearing other "cheaper" brands. Keep in mind I've bought two pairs of Red Wing boots. Now, I spend six bucks on a can of mink oil every year and a few bucks on a new pair of Red Wing boot laces. In a year or two I'll need to send my original pair back to the factory for a redo, the last time I checked it was $75. Five years and a little over $100 bucks per year for work boots that I wear 8 to 10 hours a day is not expensive. Anyone that works outdoors would call that a bargain. November 20, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by My first pair of Redwings First pair of Red Wings and love them. Buy the 100% USA made boots! You will be glad that you did!Don't complain about America's economy if you don't buy 100% American made products when you can.The Red Wing Store where I bought my boots was TOP NOTCH! They custom fitted me for boots and only had one pair left in stock of the 6" high Gore-tex 100% American-made boots with the safety toe. They were expensive, but thanks to the salesman for recommending Obenauf's Heavy Duty LP six months later these boots are still like BRAND NEW!I had a job at the time where I had to buy the safety toe. They are not as comfortable as regular leather boots for athletic type work but other than that they are top notch. Even at almost $300 out-the-door I would buy again. I cannot stress enough BUY 100% American made boots. They are WAYYY better August 8, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best boot I have ever worn. Period. I Just Purchased my second pair of 604s after one year and two weeks of every day use on the first pair. And I mean EVERY day. Yup, so comfortable I wear them to church. I am a plumber so this pair of boots has soldiered through every construction site condition possible, 10-14 hours a day. I also take my dog to the woods for exercise, or for sniffing, he's a Beagle. Two weeks ago we forded a stream, the dog who hates water and I, COMPLETELY water proof! The boots that is. About 15 feet across and up to my knees deep and I was completely dry from the ankles down. I was dumbstruck. 20 years of mediocre Die Hards that were dead in 4-5 months at $80 bucks a pop. Thank you Redwing Boot people, I shall never wear another. One caveat, I did clean and oil them about 6 times, a little bit of maintenance goes a long way. I say spend the money, you'll be glad you did and your feet will thank you. May 10, 2014
