Rated 5 out of 5 by Comfortable and well made boots I have had my boots for 2 years. I use them while riding my motorcycle. They are just tall enough that I don't have to wear rain gaiters. These boots have never leaked and I have ridden through heavy rain for hours. They fit my feet perfectly which makes them very comfortable to wear. During cross country rides I have had these boots on my feet for 12 plus hours a day for 10 straight days. They are also very comfortable to walk in. These are the best boots I have ever owned. The fine quality of these boots are evident when you examine them. June 1, 2015

Rated 2 out of 5 by Awkward fit I *wanted* to like these boots, as they are American made by UFCW workers. However, they're an awkward fit for me. The slant of these boots causes my toes to slide forward into the steel toecap and my heel to rub when I walk despite there being a minimal amount of free length. Only way to keep my foot back is to tighten the laces down by an uncomfortable amount.Pros:Made in USAUnion qualityWide, stable soleCons:Soles wear quicklyOdd fit, feet slide forwardConstruction is thin leatherSteel toe cap is uncomfortable January 30, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by One of the best pairs of any shoes I have ever owned. Period. I purchased my first pair ever of Redwings around 2008. I was working at the time in heavy industrial oil refinery environments, lots of walking, lots of chemicals, lots of wear and tear. After a couple of fitment issues with other shoes I decided to go with Redwings..... best decision I ever made. I purchased the 4473 model because of its simple design. The leather is soft and supple, and almost elastic around my foot. I have walked miles and miles in these shoes with marginal wear on the soles. Comfort and Durability are 10 out of 10. I was heart broken when I lost my first pair at a job site in the oil fields of California. Now i have a new pair, identical to the old one and many miles to go. Thanks a million Red wings. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Boots These boots are awesome, I use them all year round. They resemble the boon dockers I used to wear on the flight deck of aircraft carriers. I use them for riding boots on my Harley. I've worn the pair I have now for 7 years with one sole replacement. I also wear them when I do any mechanic work on cars or bikes. When I bought them I also got the zippers so I never have to lace or tie them. The Red Wing store where I bought them called them fireman's boots. Great bang for the buck in my book. Rated 5 out of 5 by Female Firefighter Paramedic This has been my only boot I have worn in the past 24 years. The ones our Fire Department issues are inferior in comparison. I take care of my feet so this purchase is a no brainer. I think I will be ordering my last pair as I retire in a few years. I admit that I am hard on them but they will still take a shine even with cuts and scrapes from a busy E.M.S area. They have always protected my feet, ankles and kept my feet dry even on the soggiest days. I recommend going up a half size and purchace the redwing insoles for supreme 24 hour day comfort! This will also allow space for thick boot socks. I whole heartilly agree with a break in time. I wear mine around the house a few hours a day before wearing a whole shift. QUALITY BOOT! Thank-You Redwing. September 6, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Built to Last Bought these boots 8 months ago, and don't know why to get them. Had to replace my uniform boots after three years, and decided it was time to buy a pair that fit my foot well and would hold up. Need boots that would go with Navy uniform and were narrow width, not many companies offer boots in B-width and these fit both of my needs perfectly. Great for work on ships. Soles hold up great on the non-skid and have great traction on slippery decks. If you have never had a solid pair of boots before these will take a minute to break in. I have broke in many a pair of hockey skates in my younger days, it took about a week of wearing them 12 hours a day till they felt broke in. Best advice, use glove oil (for breaking in baseball gloves) on the inside, warm them up in your oven, lace them up tight and sit on the couch for a few hours. Will mold the boot to your foot and make the break in a little easier. All and all a great pair of boots and I will be grabbing another pair when ever these give out. July 28, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by last f-o-r-e-v-e-r Well I write this as I look longingly at my boots. I have had my boots now going on 20 years. They have seen service first a couple of years in general construction, then on to about 8 of heavy industrial welding and finally they are moving towards the end of their life after 5 years working in EMS as an EMT. They have been resoled 11 times, the uppers just won't quit. I am however soon to retire my pair and you better believe that I will be buying another pair of the exact same boot. There is no other boot I trust my foot in for the work that I am doing! If your foot fits these boots buy them and your investment will be well rewarded... American made and built to last. They way a boot should be. July 24, 2014
