Rated 4 out of 5 by Get measured properly. I've been climbing poles for the phone company for about a decade, my dad before me spent his career on the poles. His go-to recommendation was this boot. Its a great boot although I'm slightly disappointed with my purchasing experience because the store employee didn't offer to measure my feet individually. It would have helped me to enjoy my boots even more because my left foot is half size longer than my right. So when I asked for a 10.5 he, brought me a right boot which fit so great that I jumped the gun and pulled the trigger. My right foot is a very satisfied customer. My left foot is a little cramped and my toes get rubbed off with the steel toe because it's slightly too small. Other than that the quality is great with the tuff toe treatment and turn-around time for re-sole was surprisingly quick, but make sure you get your feet measured individually. January 8, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by No issues Comfortable from the time you put them on at purchase to the time you retire them. I've had no issues with construction or durability. I'm on my feet all day, weather it be hiking in the woods or walking city streets, these are by far my favorite boots. December 18, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best boot made Have owned 2 sets 4417 and now the 4416Best boots I have ever put on. I'm an industrial sandblaster and painter. Other Boots usually last 4 months with what I do these boots have last me 2 years. Stitching falls apart what do you expect sandblasting tank floors. A little expoxy glue and they last forever. Or send them in and they will restich them for free. Thanks redwing will never put another boot on. A little price reduction would be great on them. haha November 8, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Broke on the 3rd time lacing them up I purchased a pair of 4416 earlier this week and was extremely disappointed.I only got to lace them up twice, probably wore them for under 8 hours. On the 3rd time lacing them up one of the rivets popped out and flew across the room. The shop (an authorized Red-wing dealer in Brighton, MI) assured me that they would cover the cost for repairs but they would have to send them in to be repaired, which they told me would take upwards of a week. That or I could drive an hour to have a Red-wing cobbler take care of them. That they do not have the tool in shop was surprising to me. It seems like a lot for a simple rivet.I had a pair of 4416's a few years ago and loved them. I beat the heck out of them on the farm I was working on. Probably my favorite pair of boots I have had.I don't know if the quality has gone down in general or if I got a bunk pair but either way I am extremely disappointed in my purchase.I also have a pair of Timberlands. Cost half the price and haven't given me any problems. Overall a much better value.Perhaps the sun has set on Red-wings quality. April 23, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best loggers ever made These boots are the best loggers I've ever owned, I have these and the same pair in the brown Coker but same boot and they are great. I work 8 hours in a garage and they are great on my feet for being boots on concrete. I also hunt and have a cabin so I have to walk in the woods with them and cut wood and such and I have never gotten my feet wet yet when I was in water about 3/4 the boot. They are the best boots I've ever bought and will continue to buy them after these pair finally fall apart. I've had them for 3 years now and basically wear them ever where and they still perform like they new. Not to mention they have a very rugged look to them April 10, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by best boots ever made i wear these boots everyday all day and i put hard hours on my boots these are the only ones that held up to anything i put them under ive been wearing them for 3 years and they are still looking good and are going strong November 30, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Redwing boots better than other brands I would recommend red wing loggers to anyone I know. That I have tried other brands and they Don't hold up like the redwing these boots are the best because I work at a college and I am out plowing and my feet never get wet and are warm as can be never once has my foot been wet or cold while plowing. Rated 4 out of 5 by Overall great work boot i work for a company that preforms annual service testing for fire fighting apparatus, mainly hose and ladders. it is often recommended that we wear steel toed boots... well when testing the ladders we use a 500 lb metal box full of water. i have managed to drop the box on my foot, if it wasn't for the steel toe in these boots my foot would be crushed and i wouldn't be working for a while. we also test in areas with out sufficient drainage causing water to pool in large amounts, sometimes up to my ankles, i have yet to have water seep through my boots on the job. I've had these boots for almost 2 years now, and i believe ill be able to squeeze 5 or 6 more if can maintain the leather properly. August 2, 2014
