Rated 1 out of 5 by Ted11 Uncomfortable Beyond Belief On a recommendation from a coworker I bought these and they are awful. It took me a long time to admit it too, because of how expensive they were ($250) and how feature-packed they are described as, and because they also look cool. However, they rub on my ankle until raw, and I have looked in there and tried to feel around for some thing out of place or some protrusion that could be adjusted or snipped, and the is nothing that can be done. It's just the way they were made. When flexed, they bend in awkward spots, so you feel the boot creasing on your foot. They are awkwardly heavy. If I hadn't had success with redwings in the past I would never go back. January 6, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nicholas Good for me. I'm a firefighter/paramedic and I put these boots to the test. My current pair is my second pair and I'm on about year two with these. The first pair lasted about three years of 48 hour work weeks in high-hazard environments. They are waterproof and I have never had a problem with my feet getting wet. I also purchased the zipper kit for the boots making them easy to slip on when a run comes in. I recommend these boots to everyone I know. November 20, 2014

by tom520 will not last in real construction world Heel was worn within a year the inside is torn and very worn. After one time in the rain they were soaked inside and now smell like the ocean at low tide. First time last time with red wings even if my company pays for them i will give them to a gardener because as an electrician these boots are the worst i have ever owned. My company believes they should last 3 years and will not replace them well mine lasted less than 1 so now they sit while I wear another brand.
