Rated 5 out of 5 by Best of All The Red Wing 406 boot is hands down the best boot I have ever worn, I went into Red Wing and asked what boot was the best for the buck and the sales person said they had a clearance pair in the back in the size I wanted. They came out and said I might be, and I quote, "the luckiest person in the world." The boots they brought out were originally $210.00 but that they have been in the back a while and were priced at $87.00! I tried them on and instantly went to the register to pay for the boots. I have had them for a year and a half and they have held up to every type of weather imaginable, from dirt to asphalt, wet or dry, muddy, cold, hot literally anything. The only problem was that they didn't have another pair for me to buy. I rubbed a hole in the toe of the boot and need them to be re-sown and get a new sole, but after almost 2 years they fit better than any other shoe I have ever owned and the best $87.00 I have ever spent. Rated 5 out of 5 by Best boot money can buy. The 406 boot is the best most long lasting waterproof boot on the market. I work in the mud and water everyday and these 406 boots keep my feet dry throughout the day without fail. Treat your feet right and try the 406 expessially if you work in the mud and water all day. Rated 5 out of 5 by Best boots I've owned Love the boots, orthotic insoles make them even better. Was extremely happy with the color and fit. Glad I stopped into my local redwing store to check them out. Staff was super helpful, sized me up, and explained all my options. My only regret is I only bought one pair. May 28, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing Boots I've only had the boots for about 3 weeks now, but couldn't be happier with my decision. I had two sets of doctor scholls in my last set for comfort. These boots don't need them. These fit perfectly to my foot. I am on my feet all day long and have yet to feel any side effects from them. Just wearing the boot makes you feel like your feet are well protected. I would recommend these to anyone. May 13, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by my favorite boot This is my first pair of red wings. Normally I would go to sears and get my boots there. I happen to be near the local red wing store and stopped in. They had a great selection and the salesman was awesome. I wasn't sure what I wanted but he helped me decide on this 406. I've had them about a year now and they have perfectly molded to my feet and held up like iron. By far the most comfortable shoes I own. I would rather be sporting these than a pair of athletic shoes.Even though a lot of people say some boots don't require a break in period.. they are wrong. All boots will fit better after some use. No different with these. I like that they can be resoled by redwing. If the uppers are still good when the soles give out, I will definitely see about a resole. After a year of use I have no complaints. Stitching and everything else has held up.Follow recommendations on treating the leather periodically. Keeps them soft and helps cover scratches. April 1, 2014
