Rated 5 out of 5 by I'm on my 3rd sole and still love 'em I have owned my pair for 4 years and have resoled the boots 3 times now...they fit and feel like slippers. I have recommended my boots to all of my family and friends and will put a 4th sole on them when the time comes. July 24, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by AN OUTSTANDING BOOT I think this is going to be the best pair of 6" boots I have ever had. I have wore 6" Rockport boots for many years and they were great, but these seem to be a much better boot. These Redwing boots are very comfortable and extremely tough. They also look great with jeans or "Dockers". The only complaint I have is the cost, but as they say, "You get what you pay for" (in most cases anyway). I hope they last for several years. I have always resoled my Rockport boots and kept them "oiled" with Leather Honey and that has helped them last for two to three years. that's a long time for footwear. I just hope these Redwings will last just as long or even longer. I think they will because they are made with extremely tough leather and are constructed with the best stitching I have ever seen. In my opinion, these are what the military should provide for our soldiers.AN OUTSTANDING BOOT. July 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by best ! I've had mine for 2 years, they fit true to size. very comfortable, I wear mine everyday in outdoor and indoor heavy work., in rain, snow, extreme heat. I love em! June 26, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Falling apart....expected much more These boots had me excited when I first bought them but a short three months the heel tore apart and cracked a good 1/4 inch into the heel. A little later the sole began peeling in the front and back. I will say these were very comfortable and had almost no break in time, but I was shocked at the poor quality of these once great boots. I have owned red wings before and had a stellar experience, but these particular boots were I'm sorry to say, garbage. I do electrical work in NYC and these were worn on an indoor job and still came undone quickly. During the cold snap this winter my feet were frozen solid with two pairs of socks on. My co-workers thought I was being a softy but it really was the boots because I threw on another pair and was fine throughout the coldest days. I'll leave these to the fashionistas who won't work a day in their life but wanna look like a man. Not a good work boot at all April 16, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by My friend warned me.... I've been wearing Timberland and Wolverine boots for years....decent boots, never had too many issues, besides the fact that after about a year of wear on the job, they would begin to fall apart. My friend always said "Once you go with Red Wings, you'll never buy another brand of boot again". Well, I finally bought my first pair 3 weeks ago, and you know what? He was spot on. These boots were impressive from day 1. True to size, no discomfort, and my feet were thanking me. Every day I wear them, the more I fall in love. I'm hooked. Plus the leather reconditioning perk and sole replacement for a reasonable price has me completely sold. Like my good friend said....beware. March 16, 2014
