Rated 5 out of 5 by 405 Red Wing Boots I bought these boots a few years ago and it was well worth the price tag. As with any leather boot, there is a break in period. After a week they fit snug and were extremely comfortable. If you work on your feet everyday, don't go cheap on your footwear. These boots have reduced knee and back pain after hard days on the job site. Durable, comfortable, and an overall great boot. July 7, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Electrian on decks Love the boots first pair toes were gone in 6 months 2nd pair had the toes dipped for $20 extra best 20 I ever spent had them for 1 year now and only need new soles other wise they are in very good condition for being on the deck the hardest place for a boot!!!!!!!! Only complain is wish they were made in USA still March 3, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by This boot handles everything. I've done seasonal apple picking the last 4 years and learned that proper footwear is crucial. You're walking several miles a day, climbing up and down ladders hundreds of times, literally putting tons of weight on the boot all day long, and the boot stays dry and comfortable. The 405 model is bullet proof, but a bit heavy January 13, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by good boots 2 years construction. great boot . waterproof is so so December 5, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Waterproofing leaks and soles wore out in 3 months I wear these as a painter doing interior and exterior painting and as little as three months the soles were completely wore out I had a hole through the toe and the waterproofing's stopped working after about one month. The really only good thing I can say about these boots is they are extremely comfortable I just wish they were better made. The other good thing I can say about redwing boot company is they did give me a free replacement I really hope the second pair holds up better but I am very doubtful October 16, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Boot I've been wearing red wings boots for over 15 years. Now that's not to say I haven't tried other namebrand boots. But no other boot compares to redwings. Especially not the 405! This is by far my favorite pair of redwing boots I've ever owned. I'm a garage door man by trade, but I also do some carpentry on the side( roofs & decks). And weather your standing on concreate all day, up on a roof, or digging footings. These boots hold up and are very comfortable!!! Well worth the money! September 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by I'm on my 3rd sole and still love 'em I have owned my pair for 4 years and have resoled the boots 3 times now...they fit and feel like slippers. I have recommended my boots to all of my family and friends and will put a 4th sole on them when the time comes. July 24, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by AN OUTSTANDING BOOT I think this is going to be the best pair of 6" boots I have ever had. I have wore 6" Rockport boots for many years and they were great, but these seem to be a much better boot. These Redwing boots are very comfortable and extremely tough. They also look great with jeans or "Dockers". The only complaint I have is the cost, but as they say, "You get what you pay for" (in most cases anyway). I hope they last for several years. I have always resoled my Rockport boots and kept them "oiled" with Leather Honey and that has helped them last for two to three years. that's a long time for footwear. I just hope these Redwings will last just as long or even longer. I think they will because they are made with extremely tough leather and are constructed with the best stitching I have ever seen. In my opinion, these are what the military should provide for our soldiers.AN OUTSTANDING BOOT. July 10, 2014
