Rated 5 out of 5 by 601 6 inch boot Great shoe length is a little short available in 2EE but for me it's a little tight a 4EE would be greatly appreciated for people like me with hobbit like feet . Looks incredible everyone in my barn wants a pair . I use them for farm work and pressure washing my buildings . I clean them every time I take them off andD I apply mink oil and Red Wing leather protector every few day or so that I use them and haven't had a issue with leaking . You have to keep using mink oil and leather protector as a regular maintenance program . January 8, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not impressed Bought these to get into a better redwing boot then my previous two pairs the toungue is aweful you feel the seams took them in the softened it and that made it better second week a speed hook ripped out they replaced but not with the same size hook smaller. They run wide so now I get callous' s because my feet slide around I walk around 8 miles a day working maintenance in a beef packing plant and after 4 months the lugs on the soles have wore down to the red inner layer I would not recommend these boots they won't last me a year and after paying well over $200 for these I'm considering steering from redwing December 29, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Boots are decent, I wish they were Gor-Tex... The boots are pretty comfortable, I wear them with the fitted insoles for 12-15 hrs per day. They look nice but I've found the waterproofing to not be as good as my other boots and shoes with Gor-Tex. My first pair lasted about 3 months before the waterproofing began to falter and I also experienced some delamination of the soles. My 2nd pair has just now started to leaking after about 2 months, which is disappointing and annoying since there is a break-in period and having wet feet can make a day miserable.I like the look of the boots, the Vibram soles and protective rubber on the toe, they are comfortable though heavier than my last safety toe boots and generally pretty rugged; if you work on interiors or areas where water is not a factor I would recommend but for wet environments so far I would say there are better options available and many cost less. Hopefully the warranty is honored and pair number 3 is a homerun!I will say the service at the store in both Tampa and Miami has been great and they honored the warranty no problem and I hope its the same with the 2nd pair. Rated 1 out of 5 by Souls separate from the boot The boots are very comfortable to wear up to 14 hours a day. After a year of use. The boots souls started to separate at the front and I had to reglue them several times. November 21, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Widest pair of Redwings I have owned I have been in construction since 1987 and have gotten a new pair of Redwings every year or two. Crawling under houses, wet environments and rocky uneven ground are harsh on any boot. I have always had Redwings because my feet are very wide size 10H. These are the first pair that were actually a little too wide and could have gotten 10EEE instead. Still very comfortable boots. The sole is a good combination of slip resistance and durability. This pair is going on about a year and a half. The soles are about due to be replaced but the uppers are still good. November 15, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Came apart at the seams First pair lasted 11 months. Replaced under warranty. Second pair only lasted 6 months, no warranty left. July 19, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Bad Interior Boot Flaps I do Pest Control for a living, and walk on pretty much every surface imaginable, on a daily basis; from High rise Apts to Restaurants to homes, Factories, Daycares to exterior yards, and such! These we're great boots for non-slip! I tried a couple different sizes, with different socks, with several different kinds of insoles, before I finally got a decent fit, but the flaps on the inside of the boots, which has to do with the Red Wing Waterproofing are a little too thick for me, and they hurt my ankles so much I had to return the boots with the 30 day warranty! I was very disappointed that they didn't work, because I loved the boots, but I couldn't deal with the pain in my ankles!Red Wing - Please make these boots with thinner inside flaps, with Gor Tex, and they would be perfect!
