Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Boots I've Ever Owned I'm an aircraft support equipment and diesel mechanic that works between 12 and 16 hours a day. These boots have been subjected to tons of chemicals and extreme temperatures throughout the two years I've had them and I have never had a boot last that long. Highly recommend these. Going to pick up another pair today. October 25, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Saved my son's life! We got these boots for my 23 y/o son for Christmas 2014. He had three criteria: 6" rise, waterproof, and puncture resistant soles. My husband asked around, and Red Wing kept coming up as THE brand to invest in; just before Christmas, we happened to notice a 20% off sign at our local store, so we stopped in. I'd been trying to corral the boy into going shopping with me, but strangely that wasn't how a newly-married young man seemed to want to spend his weekend - weird. This was the pair that met his criteria AND came in his size (14 wide), so we made the choice *for* him and ordered a pair. The boots thankfully arrived the day before a cold snap hit, and I rushed by the store to pick them up and take them to my son's apartment. He loved them. It was a Thursday. The following Tuesday, as I was cooking supper, I got a message from him: "Ma - I just got electrocuted." He'd felt a jolt when reaching above him, and thinking there was a live current in the upper wall or ceiling, he reached for a metal ladder - a shock went through his arm. He was *standing* on a live current in the floor, and the non-conductive boot soles (which were NOT part of his criteria!) saved him from serious injury AT LEAST, and most likely saved his life.He has ripped and mutilated the leather, but the boots are still waterproof and the soles and toe guard are still intact and doing their job. I was just looking at this site to identify the style of his boots, because we'll be getting him a new pair for Christmas this year.Thank you, Red Wing, for a healthy son, and for my grand-daughter due in January - who most likely wouldn't be on her way, if not for your boots!!"Ma". Rated 5 out of 5 by Durable but heavy I've had the 3506 model about a year and a half. They have been good so far,I have a wide foot so the king toe in 4EEEE is perfect.these have a vibram sole that's a plus! My previous pair was similar but had a two piece sole that come apart before 2 years old. I see they still make those ,I hope they improved the sole. But I'll never buy that model again! I work in the naval shipbuilding trade so the rubber coated toe is a added bonus. January 2, 2015

Rated 4 out of 5 by First real work boots I recently asked for boots at work and was given a few options from our supplier. I quickly chose these after doing some reading. I work in pools, so obviously I wanted something waterproof and these held up water wise for a few months. Going on 4 months now and they have sprung a leak in both boots. I don't know if this is normal, but I went out and bought some boot oil and now they look like new again and seem to be waterproof again.Comfort wise, these boots are awesome. It's like walking on a cloud. I prefer these over my tennis shoes even when I'm off work.I do recommend these, but I need to look into the waterproofing and figure out how long it's supposed to last. Rated 4 out of 5 by Excellent Boot! This boot is one of the best I've owned and probably the best I've ever had from Red Wing. I'm going on over 2 years now and they haven't gotten one hole or puncture in them. They're still keeping my feet dry and they've taken a beating as well. I work for an electric utility, underground, so I'm on my knees a lot and the reinforced cap is holding up great. They've endured mud, water, cement... You name it. And I've dropped some pretty heavy items on the toe a few times. No worries. They are, however, a bit heavy. But still a reliable boot either way. August 2, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by 3 years and still going after 3 years of heavy use there is still no need for new boots. their still water proof and comfortable. I haven't done any regular maintenance to them or really cleaned them. the only thing I have done is put in new insoles. they are not the lightest boots but are not any were near the heaviest. I hope that red wing has no plans on stopping production on them. as long as they make them I'll be buying them ( when needed). June 25, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Boot! Lets start with width since i have very wide feet. I wear a 4E in Asics/New Balance and this boot is perfectly wide enough for my fat foot. Length seems perfect as well. These boots are a year old and I wear them all the time. I have shoveled/snow blown 15 driveways, worn these to my equipment rental industry job everyday straight for a year, and taken these on every snowboarding trip I have been on this year. The boots are still fantastic. They look worn on the leather portion because I didn't keep them conditioned and the black scuff proof part is still intact and looks brand new. The waterproof qualities are slightly going away but overall these boots have been great for the year I have owned them. Great boot!!Only thing I would recommend to Red Wing is to offer more 6+" lace up styles that are puncture resistant as we, as a national account, require that our boots be safety toe, puncture resistant and at least 6" shaft. Please Red Wing, answer my prayers! Also, offer them in H width for the fat-footed:) March 20, 2014
