Rated 2 out of 5 by Excellent boot, horrible sole I am now in my third pair of 2416's (2 of which are warranty). The boots themselves are excellent the issue is their "super sole 2.0". I am a petroleum inspector, 12-18 hour spans at a time are not unusual in my boots. The comfort is awesome. They wick sweat very well, are warm in the winter, slightly hot in the summer. I can walk through 6-7 inches of standing water inside retaining walls and my feet stay bone dry whil the other guys have to remove their boots and put on galoshes. My whole issue is their soles. After 2-3 months the soles start to fall apart. The softer outter sole starts to have the treads literally fall apart on the boot. The material just starts ripping off like you would see in a cheap foreign made boot, not something you would expect to see on a $330 pair of redwings. I currently have my 3rd warranty pair on order but this time I had them special ordered with a different sole. Hopefully I will finally have a product that redwing is known for, I just wish I didn't have to go through everything I have to get things done right. January 19, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Another Great Boot ! I have 7 other pairs of Red Wing boots, some for work and some for kicking around town. I bought these for walking and hiking during our winter months here in Wisconsin. They are very comfortable, supportive, warm, and they fit great! Of course they are made right here in the USA, just across the Mississippi :) I wanted a black pair, since I might use them for motorcycling too. You can't beat the quality, if you want a boot that can take it- get this one, they are the BEST! January 11, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Happy with my purchace experence. I personally have been wearing and replacing this boot for years. I am hard on foot wear and comfort for me is number one.let me state that my feet suck to fit! red wing has what I need to be comfortable and not get "5 o'clock" feet. I will never ever buy anything else!!!! December 3, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by 2416's For Life - Until the Sun Burns Out These boots are the absolute best. The highest grade leather, fit perfect from day one. You have to take care of them - mink oil paste, but that's it. I will be buying myself a second backup pair shortly. September 22, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Awful leather I purchased these boots due to the high standards, specifications, favorable reviews, and comfort. For the price I was expecting a top of the line product as advertised.I am an Electronic Technician and I do not abuse my boots at all as a construction worker would. For the past year I have been wearing Dr martens industrial boots daily. They get more comfortable by the day and so far I have not had a single tear or scratch in the leather, but they are hard to break in and don't do well in the winter and for that reason i purchased these boots.I am very disappointed with the leather quality of these boots. It is so thin I tore a huge hole the first time I wore them, and many more tears the next 5 times to the point that I simply stopped wearing them. My boss owns the same boots and I notice the same issues. April 26, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Winter work horses... I have had these now for about 9 months. As stated in my review of the 3507's (which are my warm weather boot), I work both on the road and in the shop. These boots see all manner of chemicals and terrain and stand up to it all. Very pleased. Thanks for keeping me safe AND comfortable! February 26, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great! These are probably the most comfortable footwear I've ever worn. February 15, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by HVAC- Pipefitter, service Great boots for extreme temperature changes while working on roof-top units in the winter months and hot summers, traveling inside and outside all day long. Going up and down ladders, ice, snow, rain they keep a good grip, and my feet stay dry. Insulated enough for cold winter but not to hot in the summer, I also need to have a safety toe for auto plant facilities. Worth the money when it keeps American's working. January 20, 2015
