Rated 5 out of 5 by The Flagship This is my first pair of Red Wings and I will never buy another brand of boot again. These were the most comfortable boots I'd ever worn the moment I put them on. Now that they're broken in they're the most comfortable thing I've ever worn on my feet. I never want to take them off and I work 10-12 hours a day for weeks straight at a time averaging 13 miles of walking a day on concrete floors. I spend some days outside in all weather conditions and my feet have never been wet or cold. There is no better all around safety boot you can buy for the money and the level of service I received from a very young but very knowledgable sales associate was something that's so rare I thought it a thing of the past. Rated 5 out of 5 by You get what you pay for. These are hands down the best boots money can buy. I'm harder on boots than the average Joe. I walk miles a day and deal with oil based chemicals and solvents on my boots frequently. I bought my first pair around 2009 and I just got another pair. Not because the boots were breaking, but because my company was offering to pay the majority for a new pair. The first pair are now my outdoor/recreational boots. Take care of them, they'll take care of you. January 18, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Tough and very comfortable! I bought these boots over a year ago, highway work, tree work, and plowing snow. They are the best! They will keep your feet warm and dry all day, very light, lots of support. This is one of Red Wing's "top of the line" boots and you won't be let down, the quality and craftsmanship are there. Best of all it's made right here in the USA! Good job Red Wing! January 1, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Most comfortable article of footwear I have ever put on As a carpenter and general contractor, I've gone though my fair share of footwear. And let me tell you, I'm not easy on them. Straight out of the box, I've never put something more comfortable on my feet. I was amazed. Dumbfounded even. I believe they fit true to size. I got a good deal on a BNIB pair of 3505's in 11D and I found they fit long and narrow, but absolutely loved the construction and the Aztec supersole. It grips on all surfaces and is incredibly durable. My 3505's are 6 months old and the sole still looks brand new. When I needed to replace my old work boots, after a decent amount of research the 2412's seemed like a no brainer. They're the best boot I could find. I got a 10 1/2 E3 and they fit like a glove. I have to disagree with complaints about weight, I find them to be significantly lighter than my previous pair of work boots and wouldn't hesitate to wear them hiking. The gor-tex lining looks and feels like it can take a beating and even the laces tie like locks. No better boot in my opinion. The insulation is a must for around here, the winters are fairly cold and we get a decent amount of snow. Id say if your staying active theyd be good to -20C maybe 25. They aren't comparable to a good winter boot if you have to stand around below -20 though but they are certainly warm. They seem to breath very well, as I can comfortably wear them indoors without being too warm.TLDR: Best boots on the market. November 27, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Purchase I've Made Yet I had to swap the inserts out for something that match my weird feet a little better, but the boots have held up well. Plenty of scuff marks from kicking up against machinery or the ground or whatever other wear-and-tear boots see. The boots have held up well, and the steel toes have saved my toes a couple of times already after about 1.5 years. Waterproofing is still holding up well, but it doesn't hurt to throw some beeswax on them every once in a while. 8-inch means they're a little heavy, but I guess I'm used to it. 600-grain insulation means my feet are rarely cold in the winter and never unbearably hot in the summer. I'd buy them again. October 13, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best boots money can buy! These boots are buy far the most well made from the sole to the leather and inside gore-tex is what makes it well worth the money , they don't rip to shreds on the inside like the other name brands. I work on my feet all day 10 hours a day in every type of environment. With not a complaint of my sore feet like in the past, They hold up to the type of construction work I do. This is my second pair and will always buy Redwing. September 14, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by No better boot I'm on my second pair of these, first ones lasted me 3 years and I've got 3+ on my current pair. I highly recommend these to anybody looking for an all around great work boot that can take a beating. September 13, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Comfort This was my first pair of Red wing boots ever. These boots are the most comfortable and warmest I have ever worn. The only complaint I have is the leather is soft and I have had to use tuff toe to solve this issue. June 24, 2015
