Rated 5 out of 5 by On 3rd pair, will be going for a 4th!! I am an electrician who wears these boots 5 or 6 days a week, 10 to 15 hours a day. I work in everything from rain to snow to sunny on concrete to sloppy mud and water filled ditches. And as far as I am concerned these are hands down the best boots on the market. Like the title says, I am on my third pair right now and will continue buying these for as long as Red Wing makes them. Mine have always been water proof unless I jump into 6 inches of water. They are comfortable and stay that way. Just fantastic. Please don't stop making them! October 16, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by expected more I have a hard time finding boots that live up to the hype. Several people have recommended red wing boots to me. I thought I would give them a shot. Well I was wrong. I purchased and returned these boots in 3 weeks. NOT WATERPROOF!! Within the first 48 hours I found this out, and ounce the inner lining gets wet it does not dry out over night. So u have to wear wet boots the following day as well. Unless you put them on a boot dryer. If this is the best red wing can do for 250 dollars no thanks. July 6, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best boot Ive owned, Shipyard worker, 10 months average 60 hours a week. i work in a shipyard, my old boots would last about 3 months before the soles were worn out. These boots have lasted me just over 10 months and they are still extremely comfortable. I spend about a quarter of my day kneeling down and the safety toe is starting to separate from the shoe on the left foot. these boots are waterproof but if you are working in more than 4 inches of standing water they will soak through a little unless treated with mink oil or substitute. These boots are very light weight and have a really comfortable sole makes it easy to walk on concrete and steel 10 hours a day 6 days a week. there was no break in period these boots feel like a tennis shoe (a heavy tennis shoe) and are comfortable sometimes i have to wear them 16 hours a day and my feet never hurt. I only wrote this review because I am impressed with this boot and am going to get another pair June 7, 2014
