Rated 5 out of 5 by Mitchell Oil Field Boot I've had a pair of these boots for four years being resoled once. The environment is rough being an oil rig in Saudi Arabia, 12 hour days at 120 degrees. By far these are the most comfortable boots I have ever had, I would prefer these over most tennis shoes. Our company issues boots every six months, for which they need to because of the quality. And I still have these, it really is a great boot. Enough so for me to write my first online review. August 20, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Ogre1973 Best boots I ever had By far the best pair of boots I ever put on my feet. I have had the same style boot for almost twenty years having worked as a millwright and welder for five of them and the last fifteen as a papermaker along with being a small acreage farmer the last twelve on top of that so I've put these boots though their paces. The last pair is about to be retired after twelve years of daily service with being resoled four times. These puppies are built to last the working man. I could only imagine how long I would have them if I lived in a subdivision and had an office job. I'd probably be willing them to my grand kids. February 24, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Forester Good in the woods I am a forester and have been using this boot style since the early 1990's. I have both steel toe and non-steel toe for work in the 8" height, and 6" high for home. Once broken in they are comfortable and stand up to the abuse. Woods work, fire suppression or in the office they are great. All of my pairs have had enough life left in them that I have re-soled them after a couple years (something that I never did before). A wash and re-oiling and they look good enough for everything but the most formal situations I have to deal with. July 20, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Franchise Best boots ever made I've been wearing this particular boot for 20+ years, and I'd probably quit working before I'd change boots.I can't say enough good things about them. April 25, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Roger Most comfortable boot I've every found. I work in a plant, walking on concrete. I have worn some boots that leave my feet throbbing at the end of the day. but these Red Wings never do. They are a little expensive, but I get 2 good years out of a pair, and I am working on my 4th pair.I also do a good deal of work outdoors, year around. These boots have served me well in all environments. They do take a little breaking in. They always rub me a little for the first 2 weeks, but after that they are perfect. April 24, 2014
