Rated 5 out of 5 by Redwing 2231's I am unable to find another par of work boots that will take the place of the redwing boot 2231. I have tried many others brands and with the length and a C width of my foot it seems to be impossible. I am looking for a water proof boot and have been unsuccessful. January 25, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great general work boots Had these boots about a year now, great quality and breaking in was fairly easy, took some time getting used to the pull on style, but once your used to them they're just awesome. No complaints, easily got them in size 11c from the dealer January 19, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent pair of boots. I first bought a pair of Red Wing boots in the 1990's. Since then I have owned a couple through the years. My last pair of 2231's have lasted 7 years with 1 resole and are still going. I use the old ones for work/abuse and I bought me a new pair just to wear when I'm out and about. Red Wing has served me well and their customer service has treated me well. I have no complaints against them and will not buy another brand of boots. Keep up the excellent work Red Wing. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great work boots Ive owned one pair of these and a pair of irish setters and I love the Pecos! I work in all environments even on rough rig floors. and my sole just started wearing after a year. Im about to buy my second pair for break in. November 21, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by great boots I bought these boots lil over 7 months ago and love them wear them everyday 10+ hrs on concrete in a weldshop only thing I have a problem with is that the soles are pretty hard and I prefer a softer sole but I bought insoles for them after 6 months and they helped a lot I highly recommend these boots to everyone I know November 1, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great boot It took a few months to break these in, but I've owned my boots for 5 years now and have only had to replace the soles on them. Very comfortable and well worth the price. October 16, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Cheap Made not real red wings no more this are PECOS I work 14 days on 14 days off that's 6 months 12 hrs a day and been using Red Wings long enough to notice that this "RedWings" Pecos are not lasting for the price over 200 dlls it a joke the sole doesn't last and you'll get water inside after 6 months (3 months actually) I wish a Red Wing CEO looks at my review and do something with the quality department and start buying better quality materials. Rated 5 out of 5 by Good All Around Work Boot This boot is a great boot. I have owned my pair for three years now and they are still running strong. I wear them every day on the ranch and they haven't let me down. I love them because they are super comfortable and robust bust at the same time I ride my horses in them as well. It is very hard to find a good boot that can work as hard as these can and still be able to fit in a stirrup. They are water proof as well I wear them all four seasons. I treat them with obenhaufs LP and it is some of the best leather care product you can buy. It has kept the leather soft and supple and water tight. All in all this is a great boot.
