Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Boot Ever I finally have to break down and by a new pair because they've seen better days but I guess I can't complain because I've had them for 13 years! I wear them everyday in my role as a service manager at an NTB in the Chicagoland area. I have never had an issue with oil, weather or anything else that has been thrown at them. I'm just as comfortable wearing them out as I am at work and sometimes forget them I'm still wearing them at home. May 4, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Ankle Saver After a torn ligament my Doctor recommended these. These boots don't allow the ankle to turn. The boot seems to turn while keeping the ankle straight. They are as comfortable as a sneaker on top of that. April 12, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by This product has great features First pair of Red Wings. Best boots I have ever owned. I have worn them all day working and then with a pair of jeans to go out at night. And they look good doing both. I lace them up in the morning and don't have to touch them until I untie them after work. Love all the videos on the web site, specially the Puritan machines. Thank you Red wing for still making them in America. I have my eyes on the 4217 next. April 1, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by great mechanic work boot I bought my first pair of red wings after trying plenty of other brands and having problems as far as foot pain and wearing too quickly. I work as a transmission mechanic and the environment and oils usually wears boots really quick. However these red wings have stood up to the challenge I have had them over 3 years, the sole is still in great shape and so is the leather. The only reason I bought a new exact pair is the leather on the steel toe had a small slice. But overall satisfied 100%!! February 15, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Unbeatable Value I have owned this style Red Wing boot for the last 10 years. I am an auto technician and stand on oil stained concrete 10 hours a day. They are as comfortable as a pair of tennis shoes once broken in and have great traction on slippery surfaces. I normally get two years of wear out of a pair before the soles are smooth and the insoles are coming apart, but if I buy two pairs and wear one pair every other day, I more than double the life. I cant tell you how many times my feet have been saved injury by the protective features of these boots. Treat yourself to these boots without remorse! February 14, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by not good bough them a year ago and could only wear them for 3 month they hurt the bottom of my feet had to go get another pair will not bye another pair of redwings again................... January 28, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Boot! I work in the Plating Industry, and this was my first set of Redwing Boots, and I was extremely pleased with the overall quality of the boot. They held up well considering the different things that would be required throughout my workday. My only complaint, is that the sole wore out fairly quickly. This could be due to the fiberglass grids that I work on 80% of the day, and are known to wear boots down quickly. I haven't had these for a year yet, and the soles are so thin, and the tread is gone... Also, some of the leather is starting to wear out on the pivot point of the toe.Overall, I am very pleased with these, and I am looking at another set of boots. It won't be these, but I did enjoy them. November 14, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great work boot. There was very little break in time. One of the most comfortable boots I own. I ware them 5 days a week all year long, even winter. I work in very rugged environment for shoes. They are going on three years now. Just got them resoled and capped. Yes Redwing does shoe repair and a good job of it. Put them on when I picked them up, still the most comfortable work boot I have. I am sure they will last another three years. October 25, 2014
