Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Boots getting ready to order my 3rd pair in 12 years I'm the Fleet Mechanic For a fire District and a fire fighter. Most of the time I'm working on a Concrete floor 10 hour days they don't hurt my feet. In fact there the only boots I've had that didn't hurt my feet. I also put in some long hours Wildland firefighting. They stand up well great traction and ankle support. climbing up and down hills in the dirt. They fit my feet really well. I've had Whites and Nicks but they just don't fit or wear like these do. And they stand up to grease and oil very well. February 2, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best boot on the market Been wearing this boot for 20 years. Had some other brands in that time but keep going back to the 2218. just oil them now and then and they outlast all other brands and even other Redwings. Also made here in the USA. Worth every penny. July 20, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by product is rugged on terrain as well as my feet. The boots wear great, but are damaging my feet in the process. Where the laces go over the tongue I now have permanant scars and callous'. I wish the store where I purchased these from had the 2292, I would of much rather had those. I needed a comfortable logger. I didn't get that this time. April 14, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by great fit immediately I work for a safety store than distributes these. I am a woman and my large 8.5 fit into a 7D. I wore them all day at work AND went for a long walk at night. My feet are not one bit sore. If they are this good now I can't wait until they are broke in! April 14, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Last for years I have been wearing 2218's for years. There hard to break in but worth it. saved me from injury many times and last for years if taken care of properly, oiling and resoling September 27, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Dad is a red winger and converted me My dad used to wear your double leather 2213's... Wish they were still made. Any way... I bought these just over a year ago when I worked for a machinery rigging company. Now I work in assembly. The main problem I am having is that they are splitting right across the bottom where the toes bend. But hey I used to buy 4-5 pair of the cheap guys for $40-$50 a pop and paid just over $300 for these and wear them 12 hours a day and never have any complaints about my feet. I have converted some guys where I work to buy your boots. They won't go back. Got one guy that is just stubborn. He keeps buying cheap boots every month or two at $40 a pair. I told him... Do the math. You complain about your feet at 2 hours into the day. Me and the other guys that wear wings... Not one word from us. Just this year he has spent over $400 for cheap boots. Some people just don't get it!!! September 23, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Rough and Tough boots! The best boots I’ve ever had! My dad purchased these boots in the middle 70’s and after that they had been sitting in the closet for about 10 years. But this old style a little bit different from newer one. They are just 9 inch and have got no any size or width stumps on the leather, only “Red Wing 75”. When I grow up and found a job I had to find a pair of work boots and I took my dad’s Red Wings 2218. I had been working as a lineman worker for about 15 years so they saw many miles, and climbed many poles. Now I'm working in high voltage testing and engineering industry and am still wearing my most favorite pair of boots. I always take care of them, oil them once a year and a half. I had just to resole them in the late 90’s. These boots will last you forever! Thank you Red Wing! Hats off to you! August 3, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Logger boot Second logger boot that I purchase. Originally my first logger 2215, but it was quite tight on my feet. I have purchased Red Wing boots for over 10 years and I still have most of them. Due to my career change I had to purchase steel toe boots. This one is superb compare to the 2215. When I received it I notice that it did not have an insole. Called the Red Wing shoe store right away and ask them about the boot having no insole. They mentioned that the boots do not come with an insole, do not know why, but I went and bought DrScholl thin insoles and cut them. Fit like a glove. Pretty stiff at first but I know that they will break in soon if I keep wearing them. Very sturdy on my feet and recommend them to whoever is interested in purchasing any logger boot. As usual, Red Wing has offered another pair of boots that will last a long time. Now I am eyeing the 2221 logger, might get it in a few months that way I do not have to wear the same boot 2-3 days in a row. June 15, 2014
