Rated 2 out of 5 by Square17 Old Boot Better!!!!!!!!! I have numerous pairs (7-8) of old version of this boot both in steel toe and non-steel toe. There is NO comparison with this boot and the old boot. This new version killed my feet. I can't even where them. Needless to say I have not bought another pair of redwings since and have been wearing redwings since 1991. As a matter of fact, when the new ones hurt my feet I got on the internet and found a pair of the old style that someone still had on the shelf and bought those. December 3, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by UnionFitter Great Boots I've been wearing these boots day in and day out in the Industrial HVAC trade for 2 years. They wear pretty well and have held up to the worst that I've put them through. Great boots made by a great company. September 17, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Jason Bring back the old style of this boot I'm sure others would agree I do not like this new design of the 931 redwings. They are taller and very uncomfortable and the 2 toneis ugly. I have owned many pairs of 931 my favorite boots I've wore them since middle school thru out of high school. Now I wear ariat slip ons maybe redwing will see this and come back out with the 931 lace ups with the snake on the bottom. I tried these boots on 3-4 times in the past 2 years my work pays 100 dollars a year for new shoes so I buy a pair of boots every year and have yet to walk out with this new style. Maybe I'd like them after I broke them in but I still have a pair of 931s and they are still a much better feeling boot February 6, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Mike0369 USMC/farmer I bought a pair of Red Wing lace up boots, before I went into the Marine Corps. We are talking 1998, my wife put them in a skid out out in the back by our workshop; I forgot I owned a pair? Well I broke my left ankle for the third time and saw my uncle-in-law wearing a pair. I went looking for them and you wouldn't believe it I told you, I found them next to all my combat boots, I had dyed them black even. The boots I have not worn tilll 2015 feel the same and look great; I'm a believer!! January 31, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by USMCDAD Nice Boot I have been in the Red Wing pull on Style boot for years. Due to a few ankle injuries last year I have mandated that all of my employees wear lace up boots instead of the pull on type. These books feel a good as the the old pair I had. This is day two and I am very happy with this boot. It gets two thumbs up from me.Thanks Red Wing you have a great boot for the working guys. January 15, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Frustrated New Style I have owned this style boot for years. I have had several pairs resoled and worn them for years. This new style with two types of leather changed the fit. They are tighter in the toe and would not break in. I wore them for 6 months with bad calluses forming in my toes and heals. I had the heals professionally rolled which did not help. I am a creature of habit and would continure with those shoes for years had they not been changed. I have been turned off of Red Wing. I am a salesman calling on general construction sites and railroad construction sites so I am not in hostile environments. Bring back the old style. November 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by rigger10 You get what you pay for. Top quality. Heavy leather at foot, flexible upper leather well sewn to lower. Will need break in period. Sized accurately. Insole is excellent, good arch support. Not the heaviest boots I have owned but they are a good choice for Tradesmen, Ranchers, and Oilmen (I've worked at all three). Western style is well done. Will purchase again. September 20, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Texascarpenter THE Boot! I have worked in the oil field, inter-coastal water way and construction for 40 years and these are by far the best boots I have ever owned. Keep them oiled up and they have lasted over two years. They fit very well and I can wear them all day with no discomfort at all. Two pair of socks in cold weather and they are toasted. I would highly recommend them to anyone.I also like the snake pattern soles. June 5, 2014
