Rated 5 out of 5 by Never gonna wear anything else I work shut downs at refineries all over the country. This boot feels like it has a soft sole when you walk in them on concrete and grading but they last. This is not a boot that you will rush out to the truck so you can change into sneakers May 27, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by well made but in true usa style.a very smart looking boot. I was issued Redwing boots whilst employed by Brown and Root,Houston, over thirty year ago.Working offshore as an electrician,in the Norwegian North Sea,I was extremally well pleased with them. That pair eventually gave up on me whilst offshore again in Morecambe Bay,England.I had however had them mended in England.I was given another pair and am still wearing them to this day.I am jolly well pleased with Redwing.I am now retired but wear them for walking on the beach, here in Blackpool,England. On my visits to the USA,I have always gone on the prowl in the large stores, army depot store for American work gear/tools.Always well made, world known too. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great boots for me These boots have served me well. I plan on buying another pair ASAP. Another plus, these are still made in the USA with some imported materials. December 23, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic Footwear I got these boots from a garage sale. I asked the person I bought them from how long they had worn them, and they said that they were to big for them and had never worn them. These boots lasted me eight years, and the only reason that I don't wear them now is because the soles were so worn from repeated abuse. I had to oil them with mink oil once. May 13, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great boots I bought my 1149s in 2004 and they are still going strong. I wore them primarily as my daily work shoe while in the hospital (with hospital scrubs). They were popular with many of the male resident physicians at the time as they are comfortable while standing for several hours (in surgery). They then became my hunting/work boots. I'm always amazed on how they can become so dirty and worn, but then revived with some oil. I normally wear a size 9, but 8.5 was the proper fit in these. March 15, 2014
