Rated 5 out of 5 by 30 months later The good: Wow! Great shoe, excellent construction. Originally recommended to me by a foot doctor given the excellent support as I have a foot that tends to pronate. With orthodic inserts, these shoes were both comfortable and correct. These have Vibram soles which go a long way in making these quite durable. The first pair had fabric loops for the shoe laces (which tended to break according to Red Wing) and subsequently were replaced. The new pair has replaced the lace loops with metal fittings, common to hiking boots.what needs help:The new laces do not lend themselves well to being cinched up and come loose easily for a hiking boot. They are half of the diameter of the original lace and have a tendency to cut a bit into the fingers when tying, these are definitely laces for a casual dress shoe. December 3, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Most comfortable steel toe I've worn These boots I've been buying for 3 years now, they hold up for a year on the caster decking at work. Others boots give out after a month these are the only ones that hold up that long . September 14, 2014
