Rated 1 out of 5 by doesnt last long I have had red wing boots before and i have had good luck with them but these boots to me are a very low quality made boot. low quality wear out very fast and very uncomfortable. i have had these boots for 5 months and the insides ripped apart and the toes are wearing out faster then i have very had on other similar style boots. Rated 2 out of 5 by good looks, bad boots I love the way these boots look, but they didn't last nearly as long as other redwings I have owned. I owned these boots for one year and the soles are cracked at the heel, and they are no longer waterproof. I've had other redwing boots last as long as 4 years, so I was very disappointed that id spent $200 on a pair of boots that only lasted a year. May 17, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by worst pair of boots Bought these boots and im a mechanic and the didnt hold up 4 months before the soles wore off them. Took them back to dealer and the replaced them for free and wore the second pair 5 months and same thing. Soles fell apart and threads come out. So if your a sales man yes these are great but if you work on your feet everyday all day this boot will never hold up to a real mans work day. Very unsatisfied with redwings poor quality of expensive boots. More for looks than work. February 2, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by substandard manufacturing Two months ago, I paid twice as much for this boot than the last pair I owned, which were made by a different company.  It took about eight months of steady work (floor installation) for my other boots to become as worn as these are at this point; I'm convinced it has everything to do with the fact these boots were made with lesser materials. I expected much more out of these because A) they bear the Red Wing name and B) for double the cost of a similar, sturdy and reliable boot, any sane person would. Great disappointment. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Boot Not sure what happened with the other posters. I have worn these boots for more than ten years five days a week and being in construction sales they have been in every environment possible. They are the most comfortable, longest lasting boots I have owned. I did put leather softener on them when new many, many years ago to help break in, but have not touched them since other then a brush cleaning. They are smooth wore out now and shopping for a new pair, wanted something different, but after looking around and trying boots will buy another pair for the next ten years. October 31, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Poor quality Boot started to separate at the soles after about two weeks of working in them.Traded them in for the 2230 and those boots were fantastic. September 9, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by inside heel colapsed after 3 months of wear I liked this boot for the style. I purchased a pair And they were very comfortable until the inside of the heel collapsed. It would rub my heel raw by the end of the day and put holes in my socks. So I've continued to wear red wings that are ONLY made in the USA and will not buy a china made work boot anymore. Rated 3 out of 5 by It's an okay boot These are the first pair of cowboy work boots I ever owned. I worked in these boots for two years 45 hours a weak in the summer. I poured cement, handles live stocks, welded, and worked on farm equipment. They ar an okay boot, but the soils were terribly and the back of one of the boots interior completely fell out and I had to hold the boot together with duct tape for the last two months I wore them. The only feature that lasted the full two years was the water proofing. All in all I would buy them again if I found them on sail. May 20, 2014
