Rated 5 out of 5 by okay, I spent the money...... Outstanding so far. I reviewed another pair recently and man did I put em through the paces. These so far are great and I'm actually buying another pair to rotate between the two for cooldown and drying. Will write an update when they have had all they can take. Recommend toe guards! Rated 5 out of 5 by Worth Every Penny I bought these boots after having walked my way through 3 other pairs of boots in about 6 months time. I figured that the price im paying every 2 months for boots would cover the cost of these boots and well it did. I bought these in early march of 2013 and recently had to retire them about 5 weeks ago. my feet were never unhappy in them so they were well worth the money. My one complaint was that when I brought them to the redwing store to have them resoled again, I was told they were in too bad of shape to be resoled. Im kind of wondering how they were able to tell this without taking the sole off but it is what it is.anyways, if you can afford these boots buy them. I wore them 6 days a week for 12 hours a day on concrete floors and like I said earlier my feet were never unhappy. March 4, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by comfort+++ i wear these 10 to 12 hrs a day 5 days a week minimum. I just retired my previous pair after 2 and a half years of heavy construction work. After a brief break in period, they are by far the most comfortable pair of shoes i can remember owning and I'm 40). They are more comfortable than my expensive running sneakers, as well as my light weight over priced hiking boots. The only thing that really disappoints me is that I can't wear them more places because they are always covered in mud and gouges etc. After 8 months of severe abuse, the water proofing still works well. Add the toe guards and you will get years out of these comfortable durable boots. January 23, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Fitting Boot I purchased this boot in October of 2014 and used them for a lot of walking. Recently, in December, I was walking through some snow for 4 hours and my boot started to get wet. I took them back to the Red Wing Store and they were able to exchange my boot and reorder me a new pair. They told me the waterproof lining may have gotten a tear in the assembly process. I just received my new pair and I can't wait to wear them again! After having them broken in they are the most comfortable boot that I have ever worn and provides great support. I hope this pair holds out longer for the waterproof side of things because I do work outside a lot! January 15, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Expensive but worth it I bought these boots since I am required to wear safety toe boots and thought the waterproofing would be a good addition. After three years of wearing thse boots, they still fit like a dream. Break in time did not seem too long. After a week my feet were loving them. My insoles are getting a little worn out (as expected) but I have never had a day of work where I wanted to get out of my shoes. The fit is perfect, they bend in all right places, and the leather is extremely durable. I have a few small slices but those are my own fault. I have never submerged the boots in more than 2 inches of water but my feet have never been wet. The only downfall to these boots is the price. I think I paid about $325 for them. They are pricey, but I spend 10+ hours a day in them. Remember that when you buy your boots, socks, etc. Too many people come home every day with sore feet, don't be one of them!I expect to get many more years out of these boots. I recommend buying the shoe polish, and also occasionally spray with some waterproofing silicone to help shed water. December 16, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Undecided........ I have worn these boots for two weeks and I've noticed that the black strip between the sole and the leather on the outside of the boot has cracked. Its only on the inner foot on both boots where the heel begins. I don't know if this is a design flaw or what but i am taking them back to the store tomorrow to get some answers. I only buy American made Red Wing boots so I'm a little disappointed by this....especially since I paid $300. November 21, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great boot but a bit pricey I've been wearing these for about 6 months for 50+ hours a week. I'm amazed by the quality and comfort. This is the most comfortable boot I've ever had by far. The only reason I give it four stars instead of 5 is because the steel toe is more uncomfortable in certain (rare) positions compared to boots I've had in the past. The boot also took a bit to break in and I thought it was a rather painful break in.Waterproofing is amazing. Typically I go through 3 or 4 pairs of boots a year and those seem to take on water by the end of the first month. 6 Months and still not a leak on these redwings.Everything from the sole to the laces have held up. The only issue is the boots look like they are 10 years old.Value: $300 is a lot for a pair of boots!!! However these have more then paid for themselves and are still more comfortable then any other boot I've had. I will get another pair.I work at a car wash and I am typically on my feet. These boots have been in quite a few different acids and other chemicals and held up against tons of slush and salt in the most brutal winter I've seen. The boots have seen anything from indoor wear to constant general outdoors work and lots of shoveling. The slip resistance is great on concrete, tile, plastic, aluminum, steel and plenty of other surfaces my boots have seems.Excellent boot-A very happy customer May 7, 2014
