Rated 5 out of 5 by Expensive but worth it I bought these boots since I am required to wear safety toe boots and thought the waterproofing would be a good addition. After three years of wearing thse boots, they still fit like a dream. Break in time did not seem too long. After a week my feet were loving them. My insoles are getting a little worn out (as expected) but I have never had a day of work where I wanted to get out of my shoes. The fit is perfect, they bend in all right places, and the leather is extremely durable. I have a few small slices but those are my own fault. I have never submerged the boots in more than 2 inches of water but my feet have never been wet. The only downfall to these boots is the price. I think I paid about $325 for them. They are pricey, but I spend 10+ hours a day in them. Remember that when you buy your boots, socks, etc. Too many people come home every day with sore feet, don't be one of them!I expect to get many more years out of these boots. I recommend buying the shoe polish, and also occasionally spray with some waterproofing silicone to help shed water. December 16, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Undecided........ I have worn these boots for two weeks and I've noticed that the black strip between the sole and the leather on the outside of the boot has cracked. Its only on the inner foot on both boots where the heel begins. I don't know if this is a design flaw or what but i am taking them back to the store tomorrow to get some answers. I only buy American made Red Wing boots so I'm a little disappointed by this....especially since I paid $300. November 21, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great boot but a bit pricey I've been wearing these for about 6 months for 50+ hours a week. I'm amazed by the quality and comfort. This is the most comfortable boot I've ever had by far. The only reason I give it four stars instead of 5 is because the steel toe is more uncomfortable in certain (rare) positions compared to boots I've had in the past. The boot also took a bit to break in and I thought it was a rather painful break in.Waterproofing is amazing. Typically I go through 3 or 4 pairs of boots a year and those seem to take on water by the end of the first month. 6 Months and still not a leak on these redwings.Everything from the sole to the laces have held up. The only issue is the boots look like they are 10 years old.Value: $300 is a lot for a pair of boots!!! However these have more then paid for themselves and are still more comfortable then any other boot I've had. I will get another pair.I work at a car wash and I am typically on my feet. These boots have been in quite a few different acids and other chemicals and held up against tons of slush and salt in the most brutal winter I've seen. The boots have seen anything from indoor wear to constant general outdoors work and lots of shoveling. The slip resistance is great on concrete, tile, plastic, aluminum, steel and plenty of other surfaces my boots have seems.Excellent boot-A very happy customer May 7, 2014
