Rated 4 out of 5 by Used to wear them all the time I loved these boots. Went out looking for sloid work boots, stumbled on to these and never looked back, they were great. Sturdy work shoes. Now haven't been able to find them in black for years. Can't wear the brown with uniform, so no more. It's a shame.Bring back the black! February 2, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Lifespan Been with this boot since 1996. Hope it is forever available. This boot is a rare, sure thing, great investment in a world full of uncertainties. With minimal upkeep, i.e. cleaning and oiling, I get at least 2 years out of the soles, and 3+ out of the leather, and I'm in an wet/dry/wet/dry environment that saps the moisture out of the leather. My fellow employees lean toward the lesser priced alternatives, and I see them in new boots every 6 months. They end up spending much more than me over a 4 year period. December 13, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by this is my standard boot I got my first pair when I was 18 and they were Red, my feet liked them so much these are the only boots I keep coming back to. I have a safety shoe allowance and when the soles start to wear out I get another pair and rotate through to give them a chance to dry out from every day use. I not only wear these to work but sometimes during play also. Some things in life don't need to be improved, thank you red wing for having a pair of boots I can always count on. Please don't ever change these, but if you had them in black at least I could change up my boot look a bit.... November 16, 2015

Rated 5 out of 5 by More than 1/4 century I bought this pair of boots when I was 22 yrs old. I'm now 49 yrs old. And it's still gooood n comfy. I replaced my sole twice but that was it. Upper leather is still good n nice look in'. Luv this boots and REDWING BOOTS!! October 30, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by 10 years old next month the pair I am wearing now is almost 10 years old. although I don't were this pair everyday they have still seen a lot of action. Plus I like the classic style. Will be buying another pair soon. October 2, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Look No Further, Really! I bought my first pair in 1986 and they lasted until the late 1990's when Red Wing said they couldn't resole them any more times (the uppers finally got too cracked). It was so hard to let that pair go, in retrospect, I should have kept them and just hung them up in the garage, old heroes. I have bought 2245's ever since, and once a pair is broken in, these are the most comfortable work shoes imaginable and have saved my feet time and time again. I tend to wear them off hours too just because NOTHING ELSE COMPARES! Red Wing's newer models have become too heavy, they get fatiguing after a short while. Not these: light and nimble. Oh, and if you don't like the brown, just have 'em dyed black, that's what I do. If you are a motorcycle enthusiast, these offer what you need and nothing more. October 2, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by My Go-to Red Wing Boots I have worn this style for almost 20 years at work. They are one of my two favorites. My other is Red Wing 2406 boots. They are durable, wear well, and look great. I buy a thin insole, and replace that when it gets worn. They last a long time. I usually get a new pair and delegate my old pair to home stuff like yard care or painting. I don't think you can go wrong with these. Yeah, they aren't cheap, but if they last for years and are good for your feet they are worth it. And Red Wing is a great American company that supports it's employees & families. They are great in my opinion. November 26, 2014
