Rated 5 out of 5 by Worn since the 1970's My father purchased these boots in the late 70's when he was still living and working on the farm... He gave them to me in 2006 when I was in high school. They were about 28 yrs old at the time. The boots don't get worn every day like some of y'all's, but they have lasted around 36 years without a single resole. I've spent many weekend working around our property with these boots and they still have plenty of life left in them... I love them, they are irreplaceable. Buy these boots, take care of them, and one day maybe you can pass them on to another generation of hard working Americans. March 25, 2015

Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Boot I've Ever Owned I've been wearing red wing boots for 10 years now. I used to wear the 608 style and would 12- 18 months out of a pair and they are a great boot but I wanted to get back to a slip on which is what I used to where as a kid and up through high school. I work construction and farm so I am pretty hard on boots especially soles. I go through soles fast on concrete. My dad wore these 1155s for years and swears by them so I thought I would give them a try. Best footwear decision I have ever made! I am almost 2 years into these boots and looks like I'll get at least another six months out of them. I wear these everyday of the week from long days on the job to long weekends on the farm and even long nights out partying it up. I have never had a sole hold up as good as these do everyday on concrete. Mud, gravel you name it. I have never oiled or really taken care of these boots like I should. Imagine how long they would last if I did. Break in is easy, about a week. Most comfortable and durable boot I've ever owned and nice western styling too. Please don't stop making these Redwings!! Rated 4 out of 5 by great comfort with about 18 hrs/day all week I don't know how anyone is getting 10 to 20 yrs out of a pair. I get about 8 to 12 months out of mine but I'm in them all the time. I've been buying them for about 20 yrs now and don't plan on changing any time soon. I love the fact that they are American made and wish that all of them were. After the first dance with my wife at our wedding she went out to the truck and got my beat up old pair to wear with my tux. December 3, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great boot for the money I've had the same pair since I was 18 years old. I wore these boots throughout college, in summer construction jobs, countless hunts, and nearly 20 years of home honey dos. Now, I wear business suits during the week but always enjoy pulling on my Red Wing boots on the weekends. I would definitely recommend these boots and will purchase another pair. May 30, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Bought them when I was 16 I have the same pair, and wear the same pair, since I was 16 years old. I'm 37 now. You want a boot that will last... this is it. Hands down best boot ever. March 30, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by First Pair, Ten Years Later These boots are great, I got my first pair almost ten years ago and they are still going strong. I may be taking them a Red Wings store soon to get new insoles, but other than that they look great. The outside is roughed up from work, but I like the look. Tells other people you actually use the boots and they aren't a fashion statement, even though they are well designed. I haven't worn them for a little while since I am currently a college student and I walk over a mile everyday on campus, but I wear them on the weekends. March 26, 2014
